Decent interior and exterior ambiance. There were black boxes outside that looked like weather-proofed TVs. I asked the waitress if there were flatscreens inside and her only response was that they had TVs inside. Odd since I was sitting on the patio, which is quite nice and breezy. Service was average at best, and it was a slow day. Waitress admitted to being new and not knowing much about beer. Selection was good in bottles, but pricey. Tap selection had a couple decent crafts beers. Wish they had more taps. Overall not bad, and would probably visit again but not for the selection of beer.

One of the stops on the NTX RB pub crawl of early 2010. Good centralized location just north of downtown Dallas. Tap list was short but solid and their bottle list was (unfortunately) recently reduced to an Avery vs Vickery Park "issue" (which Vickery Park was definitely in the "right"). Definitely recommend the food as Conner’s sandwich and salad was a hit. I hope they get their premium craft situation straightened out since this was a nice stop on our tour.

Visited with several ratebeerians on a pub crawl. Nice place kitty-corner to the Old Monk. Nice, but dark interior. Somewhat knowledgeable bartender (waitress was a bit less knowledgeable, but admitted she was new). Very nice bottle list with reasonable prices (but I don’t go to bars in Dallas to buy bottles, I go for taps!). Only 6 or so taps. Mostly generic, but there was a keg of Stone Ruination (didn’t taste super fresh) and Franconia Wheat. The crowd was mostly Stella Drinkers. I didn’t order any food, but it looked good. I didn’t speak with the owner or beer buyer but from what I have heard he is pretty passionate about getting good bottles. I wish he would do the same as far as tap selection. Tap selection is the reason I would go down the street to the Old Monk (which has better parking and a more extensive tap list) over this place, or better yet go to the Gingerman. Nice place for a meal, but not the best place to grab a beer

This is an excellent neighboor bar. About 5-6 beers on tap, which usually includes a hoppy beer (such as Green Flash IPA) and a Franconia offering. Where they shine is in the bottled space - they often get rarities (Avery is the best example) before other places in town get them. When you are in, introduce yourself to Matt the manager, as he is the "beer nut" behind this place, and will be glad to see you.

This is a good place in the Knox/Henderson area of Dallas. Their selection isn’t the best, but they typically have a few big beers in bottles (Oaked Arrogant Bastard, Avery Mahajara, etc.), and 2-3 upper tier beers on tap. Their food selection is above average as well for a bar, and it is of high quality. Service is always prompt, and the managers love to talk about good beer. The ambiance is great as well, with a nice patio area and spacious interior. The only downside is parking during peak hours, as is the case for all bars in this area.
