March 2, 2012 [ Updated March 9, 2012 ] A nice brewpub in Darmstadt with two taps. Hop vines hang indoors and provide a garden feel even in the cold/cool late winter air. The service is good but not too attentive, and speaks a little English. The food is very good; I had the Goulash. Prices are reasonable, and you can take beer home in 1L or 2L swingtop growlers. |

December 17, 2010 It is located in the main market place and is easy to find. I think it is the best place in town for sure. Good beers and great food. There is a beergarten outside but it is winter now. Another good stop in town. |

March 16, 2009 Nice building on the marketplace. The brewpub has a nice ambiance inside with the kettles and with the three main rooms. The beers are not the biggest bangs but they are good german style stuffs. And very fine to taste the beers on the marketplace and take a minute to see the life of the little city of Darmstadt. |

February 26, 2008 [ Updated July 26, 2008 ] Went for dinner and a few brews. Cozy place with good atmosphere. Food was very good and service was prompt. Friendly waitstaff. Beer was good too, but limited in choices. They were serving a pils, hefe and a dunkel. |
