DavisBeerLover (5), California does not count - explanation | | August 1, 2011 Good selection of craft beers. They carry Pliny the Elder, but it typically runs out of stock almost immediately! | leiris (2), Davis, does not count - explanation | | February 16, 2010 I am lucky enough to live a few blocks from this place. The food is somewhat pricey, as to be expected at a more conscious/health/sustainable focused market, but their beer selection is the best in the area and are reasonably priced. Plus you can buy single bottles, which as a greenhorn beeraisseur is something that I don’t take for granted. The clerks are always nice, and fairly knowledgeable about beer, when I’ve asked. The lines can get long at the wrong times of the day, but its worth the few minutes it might take. I am going to miss it when I move back to Sacramento later this year. | | marcus (128), Sacramento, California | | December 10, 2009 I stop by this store every so often, and usually find a couple beers that I can’t get anywhere else in the Sacramento area. They are pretty user friendly - they sell singles and will check the back room for out of stock beers. | stevepigg (1), Davis, California does not count - explanation | | February 8, 2009 The beer selection has always been pretty good, but has recently (late 2008) grown considerably. Lots of unique brews that can’t be found elsewhere. And if you’re looking for something special, try asking for it! | | DTM (13), Winters, California | | February 22, 2008 [ Updated January 22, 2009 ] This was one of the first place I went ot buy beer when I first started trying craft beers. Very good selection of beers that can’t be found anywhere else in town. | | DYCSoccer17 (244), Woodland, California | | April 7, 2007 [ Updated January 9, 2010 ] The best place to buy beer in either Davis or Woodland, CA. They sell singles, which is really nice. They also carry Drake’s, Green FLash, Sacramento Brewing, Hoppy Brewing, Eel River, and a few other beers that can’t be found anywhere else in Davis/Woodland. Their distributor is probably the same as BevMo’s, but it’s nice to be able to get them in town. Prices are averae, but if you are not a member of the co-op, they will add an extra 5% onto the price I believe. Watch out for the smelly hippies and the guy out front trying to separate church and state. | | bhensonb (375), Woodland, California | | December 23, 2006 You can buy beers a bottle at a time. You can find beers like Jerome from Argentina, or Blue Frog from Vacaville. It’s no Bottleworks or Ledgers, but it is very satisfying. Someone here is keeping up on beer. Worth visiting every few weeks, or perhaps more frequently. |
