Loved Twains the several times I’ve been. They make some very good and interesting beers at times. While I have not ate there, the food looks very nice. The scene is always a good time. Really can’t go wrong and if you are into ticking you might very well get to add new ratings each and every time you go there.

Twians was a pretty cool place. Definitely a busy place that has pool tables and bands on occassion. With the exception of one, I enjoyed all of their beers. I did not eat there so I can not comment on the food. Overall I enjoyed the experience

Founders KBS on draft? Check! Great bartender! Beer brewed here is decent. Pool hall, sports bar feel.

Went on a Friday night, and the bar was not very crowded, but plenty of people playing pool. Pool hall with a bar and some tables with pub food. Their dunkelweizen was great, their cask Cinnamon spice brown ale, not so much. The bartender was very good, and was quick to pour and check us out. It was one and done here, but I would definitely go back and hang out longer.

This is a fun place with all sorts of games and stuff. Food is pretty good, but not great. I always go for the beers brewed on premise and they are good. Hefeweizen is one of the best around.

Much more of a neighborhood bar feel than The Brick Store up the road. The crowds are different enough that in some respects it hardly seems possible that the two places are in the same city. There were only 2 Twains beers on, but there was a healthy selection of guest taps. Fun, welcoming place. I liked it.

Twains is an integral part of the Decatur beer experience. The beer is very good - my favorite is the Belgian Black - but all were consistent. The menu is typical pub food but done well. I have most enjoyed the fish and chips (what else at a brew pub?) but the salads and burgers are also worth noting. The place has a good downstairs with darts, pool, and other pub games which adds to the ambiance. The drafts, brewed on site, rotate frequently so you never get bored. I highly recommend this one.

This used to me one of my hangouts, but recently they have reduced the selection of house beers to 3- Jordan is a good brewer, I hope he starts brewing more beers again. The ones that are on tap are always excellent- but this is really more of an upscale pool hall and a lot of the patrons are swilling Bud or some other dreck. Food and service are good, be sure and go here if you are in the neighborhood visiting the nearby legendary Brick Store.

Helpful staff gave me good directions over the phone when I got a little mixed up. Awesome chicken wrap, hot fries, superb honey mustard. Three house beers available on tap, maybe 8 guest taps, 3 or 4 house beers available in bottles, tons of other bottles available. Beers were solid. Lots of tables available to shoot pool. Loved the Balls (men) and Racks (women) restrooms.

Great atmosphere, solid list of beers (both their own brews and others), solid menu. A big, fun place to hang with friends on any given night, with all sorts of bar games to offer distraction as needed. Recommended if you’re looking for a place to kick back with a group of friends and play and drink the night away.
