| dutchbeerpages (36), Wilnis, Netherlands | | January 23, 2012 Typical InBev Belgian Beer Cafe with all their standard beers you can also find in any decent supermarket. Great location in downtown Delft. Nice cafe, lots of wood. Too bad I have seen similar cafes in New Zealand and Australia. Delft is only 50k away. | | Boudicca (205), London, England | | April 25, 2011 We went here for dinner with John and Petra on 2 April. Petra had kindly booked a table but when we arrived it had been reassigned to accommodate a large party arriving later. No matter – two of the staff went upstairs to the balcony area, which didn’t seem to be in use, and brought down another table for us.
I’d say this is a restaurant rather than a bar or beer café but perhaps I had that impression because we were there on a Saturday evening and most people seemed to be eating. There’s a large hallway with a staircase leading up to the aforementioned balcony area and another spacious room with tables and an impressive bar. The beer list is mainly Belgian, with no surprises but a reasonable choice, including Chouffe on draft. The food was great and the company even better.
| Freising (4), Delft, Netherlands does not count - explanation | | May 15, 2008 Placed on a nice sqares in Delft with a a lot of outdoor cafe’s. Good variety in beers. Staff seems to be students from the local university. Been extremely unlucky with the food (dined here 3 times). | | skortila (125), Baarn, Netherlands | | July 2, 2007 Nice location, good ambience. Food is quite decent. I only had a lunch. The beers are quite common, mostly belgian. But offcourse good quality. | | thebeermonk (12), , Netherlands | | July 18, 2006 Nice from the inside, quitte expencive, not a very deep beer selection. Most beers are common every where to get beers... Staff is young and with out beer knowledge! Nice to visit but not for a long stay, unless you’re willing to empty your wallet! | | jbrus (133), Delft, Netherlands | | November 14, 2005 [ Updated April 22, 2006 ] Although they serve mainly Interbrew beers, there’s all so some good stuff like Rochefort, Orval, Chimay, Duchesse de Bourgogne, Pauwel Kwak. But still stuff that’s widely available. The staff is very friendly but mainly kids who know near to nothing about beer. Great atmosphere though which makes it worth while revisiting this bar/restaurant some time soon. |
