| NobleSquirrel (161), Chicago, Illinois | | October 3, 2011 Stopped in here while in town for GABF. Solid set of samplers that make it easy to hit all of their beers, but that’s pretty much the extent of what I wanted out of them. Ambience was fine (not a game day) and just felt like a huge sportsbar. Probably wouldn’t go back. | | machfive55 (35), Columbia, Pennsylvania | | September 6, 2011 Nice place, a typical sports joint with a nice big bar. One downfall is that this place did not offer any kind of samplers, or at least the bartender was not pouring them the night we were there. She did offer single samples of beers, however. Beer was good, ambiance was typical of a sports pub. A decent place to check out before/after ballgames. | | KAggie97 (213), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas | | August 5, 2011 Not a bad place to go to after a Rockies game. Decent food, and the beer is better than the stuff at the ballpark. Good for ticks and a pre- or post-Falling Rock trip. | | Dogbrick (423), Columbus, Ohio | | March 25, 2011 (Visited 10/2009): Breckenridge is located on Blake right near Coors Field. There is parking available but I would imagine there is nothing nearby during baseball games.
The interior is spacious with the bar on the left side on a split level, and restaurant seating everywhere else. There is a lot of brick and wood, and a few cases displaying breweriana. There is a large board behind the bar displaying the beers available on tap.
As for the beers, they are divided by the year round offerings and the small batch beers like Christmas Ale, Mighty Brown, Extra ESB, Porter Porter, 471 IPA and others. The beers are available in separate samplers.
Service was good on an early weekday evening. The bartender was helpful and had a good grasp of the various beers available.
Breckenridge Ball Park location has pub grub for the most part on the menu, and the appetizers we ordered were pretty good.
Overall this wouldn’t be the first place I would target on a trip to Denver, but it would be perfect before or after a ball game or as part of a brewpub crawl. | gabfjunkies (6), does not count - explanation | | February 18, 2011 Breck Brewery isn’t a bad place but it’s not a great place. It’s main draw is the fact that it’s right next to coors field. Food is good place is expansive beer is good.
Nothing screams "Must come back!" but it’s a solid joint on it’s own. As a beer drinking haven it’s alright.
Also the picture ratebeer posted is from the Breck Brewery in Breckenridge.
Note that this is just a restaurant and the beer is brewed on Kalamath. | GeoAZ (3), MESA, Arizona does not count - explanation | | January 19, 2011 I stop in every time I am in Denver for the GABF. the food has always been good and wallking distance to may venues in the area | | Camons (67), Hasselager, Denmark | | December 6, 2010 Big brewpub close to Corrs field. Typical pub interoir, big bar with like 10 taps. Food was good, had some nice fish and chips. Service was exelent, had a high knowlegde of theire beer and beer in generel. I’m still vondering how her boss would have taken her advise to me, about going the few blocks up to Great Divide for good beer !
Of the 4 beers i had only the small batch 471 IPA was worth having another timee, but that was exelenet tho. | | adnielsen (277), Fort Collins, Colorado | | October 13, 2010 I love the food here and they got some above average beers. Check out Avalanche Amber. I would recommend stopping by here if you’re on a brewery tour in Denver- it’s only six blocks off of 16th Street Mall. | | 3fourths (962), Boulder, Colorado | | January 3, 2010 zero atmosphere. expansive interior to house the ballpark people. about a dozen taps, a few new things, but of course beer quality is lacking. | | IrishBoy (82), Bakersfield, California | | September 27, 2009 Had a sampler during GABF. Food looked good but I was there to try beers. Service by Barkeeps excellent even though the place was packed. |
