Went here by recommandation of Aaron. Proberly would have passed else, thinking this had "tourist trap" stempled all over. Placed at 16th and Champa and not really a beer place at all, or maybe. When inside its a nice change of pace from the fastpumping noisy 16th mall, its like walking back in time and entering a old german beerstaub. Wooden tables with red and white tabelcloth, dark wooden chairs. Superb german food, had a creamy patato soup and a Schnitzel with bratkartoflen and it was excellent. Hell even the brocoli ( proberly my least favorite vegestable) was hot and tasty. 6 taps, all where Paulaner beers, but served by the right tempeture and in the right glassvare. Laidback, but attentive service ( again a nice change from the semi hysterical teenage girl whining at you " Everything still allright hereeeeeee.." every 20 th second or so you experience most other places ) Cheap for the quality of food and beer you get here. Just dont go here and hope for alot of new ticks. Highly recommanded.

This place is so amazing. The best German food I’ve had outside of Germany (and even better than some in Germany). Amazing personal service. The owner will stop in and make sure you’re enjoying everything. Only has about 6 or 7 taps which are mostly Paulaner but when it moves early next year, there should be plenty more beers to taste. A maß will only set you back about $8 which is a steal in my mind. My go to bar on Friday afternoons. Update: New location is located on the second floor of the NE corner of 16th and Champa. Really a gorgeous atmosphere!
