| ontbeermaker (127), Ontario | | July 29, 2011 Unsuspecting looking store, right on a main street. The place has a very nice interior and there are a ton of beers in this place. lots of bottles along the fridge and lots of six packs. They event had a small cellar in the back, that they let me in, found a bottle I wanted in there. Really good store, nice and friendly staff. Definitely worth a stop in here. | | dionysus (10), Arizona | | June 3, 2011 Stumbled across this store on my recent trip through Denver. Decent selection of ltd/seasonal/import beers. If you ask me, the size of space for their domestic BMC types is way too big and their other selections are pretty random. Heavy in Shelton Bros products as well as plenty of perry/ciders that I haven’t seen before. The best part is the fact that they have Russian River on the shelf and I happened to pop in on the same day Pliny arrived. Of course I picked up a few. Overall not too shabby, just needs a little attention. Oh yeah, also a good spot for people looking to pick up Tactical Nuclear Penguin or Sink the Bismark without shipping direct from Brewdog. (Expect to pay a pretty penny though.) | | tennessejed420 (18), Denver, Colorado | | April 13, 2011 Dingy looking on the inside and outside, right accross the street from shotgun willies (strip club), but still only minutes from cherry creek. Most of the staff is pretty helpful and knowlegable, but some of the guys are dicks in there. Can’t blame them too much b/c they do deal with alot of crap at their location. Selection is the best reason (and most important criterion) for coming here - alot of really interesting imports, rare, highly allocated, etc... Its not cheap but selection is good. | | Sammy (408), Toronto, Ontario | | February 10, 2011 A decent beer store in most cities I have ever visited, though abit disapointing for a city the size of Denver. Still, likely 300 or more beers to choose from. The best selection were the Sam adams new series. Mixed six packs, and the availability of some Russian Rivers and several Port Brewing/Lot abbey were pluses. Decent though not exceptional Belgians and import selection. Not much in service. The best is their good selection of smaller Colorado breweries. Prices were a bit higher than expected for a bottle store.
| | adnielsen (277), Fort Collins, Colorado | | December 8, 2010 [ Updated April 29, 2011 ] Just recently started visiting but already one of my favorite places to get beer. The dude really knows his beer. Colorado Liquor Mart looks like your typical shopping plaza liquor store but this one has a very nice collection including some rare brews. | | Camons (67), Hasselager, Denmark | | December 5, 2010 [ Updated February 18, 2012 ] Drove by on my way from work. Mostly macro stuff in the coolers. But compared to other place is been into on my stay in Denver they have a pretty nice selection of interesting beer to. Got me a bottle of Stone- Smoked Porter i havent seen anywhere else. Also some Brewdog, Avery and more in there. | | msante79 (253), Mount Prospect, Illinois | | September 12, 2009 Stopped in after driving by this place all week. Looks like your average corner liquor store from outside but is quite large on the interior. Sign on outside of store states they have 700 beers. While they have a nice selection they do not have that many. Almost entire selection is in coolers which is quite nice. They have Temptation, Salvation, and a bunch other nice brews. Pretty nice store and worth a stop for sure. | | 3fourths (962), Boulder, Colorado | | September 8, 2009 Small building from the outside but they use the space well and manage to look like a big store on the inside. Wall of coolers keeps all beer off of warm shelves. Decent singles selections, more than your typical selection of 5L kegs, import selection is their strong point. Nice store, in a crappy location but the selection would bring me in if I were in the area more often. | | notalush (256), Denver, Colorado | | August 23, 2009 [ Updated October 16, 2009 ] [Update - I’m more impressed every time I come here - new beers in stock fairly often - they have a stash of more limited stuff in the walk in that they don’t have displayed in the front, mostly comprised of harder to find imports (Page 24, t’sm.., amager, etc.) - my go-to store close to home ]Stopped in here because I happened to be in the neighborhood - across the street from one of the Whole Foods in Cherry Creek - large-ish liquor store with a focus on wine - all the beer is in a cooler that lines the northern wall - fairly standard selection of craft beer for the area, with slightly higher prices than other stores in town - the import selection is small but well-selected, with offerings from Fantome, De Molen (including Rasputin), Nogne O, DDC, Baird (biggest selection of this brewer I’ve seen in the area) - this is the only place in town I’ve seen Nogne O Sahti, so I jumped on that one - the store is filled with yuppies buying crate loads of wine (at least on a Saturday) - I’ll probably check back here regularly for imports I don’t see in other places in Denver proper. |
