| craftbeerdesign (92), Alpharetta, Georgia | | May 22, 2012 very nice wine store with a wall full of beer coolers - mainly catering to craft and imports. had some nice bottles that tend to sell out quickly elsewhere. had some crooked stave on sale. prices tend to be a bit higher, but you can get some deals. guys know their beer. worth a stop if you go to Hops and Pie around the bend... | | rivertranced (13), Denver, Colorado | | January 31, 2012 Mondo Vino is the perfect beer and wine store to have in your neighborhood: friendly, knowledgeable, and with a substantial selection of goodness. They generally have one of the better selections in town, especially for their size. The best part is the staff, however. I went in looking for a Berliner Weisse a few months back, and was unable to locate one anywhere in CO. They took down my name and shot me an email when they got one in a couple months later! Nice! | AugieSD (2), Lake Tahoe, Nevada does not count - explanation | | January 19, 2012 Best locals wine store in Denver. | | Camons (67), Hasselager, Denmark | | August 23, 2011 Wine store with a good beer selction aswell. Back walll has a long line of frigdes with beer, offcourse a good part of these are macro lagers, but also a fine selection of belgians, danish, norwegian imports. Many american micros like Stone, Russian River, Lost abbey etc. Helpfull service giving advice and pointing me to some fine beers i proberly would had passed else. | | ontbeermaker (127), Ontario | | July 29, 2011 Made a nice stop in here, found some really good stuff. Nice belgian import section and tons of american craft brews. lots of fridge space. Lots of singles and six packs. A bonus was we spent more then 100 bucks and the casher just knocked off 10% of the bill. Really liked that feature of the store. Sure it was a bit more expensive but when you get service like that it is sure a bonus. | | daknole (204), Scottsdale, Arizona | | July 23, 2011 Upscale wine/beer store. Nice selection, great service. Wish they sold more singles. | 767buff (4), Colorado does not count - explanation | | June 5, 2011 Last stop today. Expensive. they are proud of their store and you p[ay for it to buy something there. Then again , they help you so that you get a great beer. So I consider it worth the price. I will pay up for service. Twin Peaks has 0 service. these guys are a 9. So if the brew costs me 10% more it’s worth it for the education.
I will be back. | | tennessejed420 (18), Denver, Colorado | | April 13, 2011 Being at the heart of highlands square this store has great ambiance with a cheese shop right next door. Service is pretty good, there is someone to provide suggestions for you at all times; however, they might point you to whatever is selling slow instead of catering to what you really want. Selection is good for the size of the store, distributors hook them up with some rare / highly allocated stuff. However, my biggest complaint is that you will pay $1, $2, maybe even more on everything here compared to alot of stores. Highlands wine & liquor is less than 5 minutes up the road, so if you are driving, there is no reason to ever come here really. | | lushawn (164), Boston, Massachusetts | | January 11, 2011 helpful staff, organized. fair prices. nice selection. abyss, consecration, fair amount of other beers i can’t get in midwest. only store i went to in denver, so dont have anything local to compare it with. | | adnielsen (277), Fort Collins, Colorado | | December 19, 2010 I was really surprised by this place. Not the hugest beer selection but the beers are chosen quite well. I picked up a Dogfish Head Fort and Theobrama. They had plenty of The Abyss and a couple of other brews that you can’t always find elsewhere. |
