Shockingly good late night stop. Quite a few beers on tap (more than the 12 listed here). They had Battle Stash Barleywine (13% Barrel Aged) on which was one of the best beers I got to try all GABF weekend. The other beers were all very solid as well. Food was good too. Busy, lots of drunk people (it was very late during the last night of GABF). Close to all of downtown. I had a great time.

Damn this place is huge. The front bar was packed on Sunday morning (GABF weekend and football season). We headed to the back bar and was surprised how big it was. The back bar was big and had plenty of TV’s. The food was good. Only had one beer which was fantastic (Go Hop Yourself). Will be back.

Had to stop in at the original location. Huge place with a gigantic patio, lots of bar seating and tables with taps in them. In the touristy/trendy part of Denver and easy to access. Really nice selection of beers, probably better than 16 or so on tap, including some Barrel Aged beers. Pretty solid and one of the better Rock Bottoms that I’ve been to. A bit on the pricey side, though.

So it is a chain pub with a terraced seating area for hot weather, the beers are rather ordinary but made by an independent berewery and the toilets are excellent. And the special bit is .... ?

All Rock Bottoms are basically the same--urban down home cozy feel, slightly above average food at a fair cost, and slightly below average beer at a fair cost. The staff know their stuff and are very polite and helpful. Yet still a good place for a beer nerd to visit.

Great atmosphere, good brews, always good times with friends. We enjoyed the "hang" attitude vs. the typical "hook up" scene.

(Visited 10/2009): This Rock Bottom location is in downtown Denver on 16th Street not too far from the Convention Center. Not sure what the parking options are as I was on foot the whole time I was in Denver. The interior contains several dining areas and offers a view of the brewing equipment. The bar is located in the back of the establishment, and they display a few items of Rock Bottom memorabilia here and there. There is also a patio that is situated right off the sidewalk. The beer selection contains around 10 taps, all of which are available in a sampler. They follow the same pattern as most other Rock Bottom locations - Kolsh, Wheat, Pale, Red, Brown, Stout. They do rotate one or two seasonals at any given time. Service was decent on a weekday lunch. The server explained the beers on the sampler and was keeping up with the lunch crowd just fine. The food at Rock Bottom is consistently above average. My burger was good, but suffered from being enjoyed the day after going to Cherry Cricket. Overall Rock Bottom is worth a stop on a brewpub crawl through Denver, but I wouldn’t necessarily put it at the top of the list.

Sure rock bottom is a chain by the Craftworks folks who own old chicago gordon biersch chop house etc... But it’s not bad. This location is a pretty decent spot. Good music in the summer. Clean large dining room good back bar. Friendly staff. Beer is typical Rock Bottom pretty good but not great. Good selection of beers. Happy hour isn’t fantastic. I like the food though. It’s really a place to go for a casual dinner with some good beers.

Chain brewery on 16th mall street, very easy to get to. Service is good, freindly,decently knowable about there beer. Food is typical brewpub stuff, but pretty good. 8-10 taps with beer, nothing to exciting, but solid and decent.
