I was very surprised to stumble upon this place, especially since it’s very close to my apartment. The selection isn’t huge but it’s very well chosen. The prices are also pretty good with a nice clearance section as well.

solid top-quality selection with a few traditional belgian lambics and occasionally awesome prices on things like dupont avril. prices were surprisingly well below most competitors.

This place is located in an awesome Whole Foods. Was very surprised by the selection. While not a huge selection this did have a lot of quality brews. Several brews that are not available at the Total Beverages or even Lukas Liquors. Good place to get some lunch and some quality brews.

Not much of a selection except finding two of the North Coast brews brewed for Whole Foods. Had two beers on tap today, one SKA and the other I could not tell. Nothing else not available elsewhere in CO. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Possible things may change - went there last year just after their opening and between then and now must say the limited selection hasn’t really grown much if any. They did have Stone 10th in 3L and Gonzo signed by Steadman, but other than that not really worth trip.

When the Tiffany Plaza Whole Foods location opened up I dashed over right away to see what new pleasures the much larger and newer store would have. Amongst them was the ancillary liquor store, The Merchant of Vino, carrying a culturally rich name and an even richer looking stock. Like most other stores the emphasis was clearly on wine, but the beers had their own side, with about five refrigerators full of the standard local fare. A standard shelf unit held a collection of sakes and beers, and had a few rare singles including Mephistopheles. The staff were very friendly, as anybody there would be with that kind of starting salary. They informed me that their store hosts tastings once a week, both wine and beer, and that it was all free assuming the drinker could produce a valid I.D. It’s a standard store, and where I live there is better, but its always worth a quick stop on the way out the door to see what’s new in the liquor world. And if I’m lucky I get a few thimble fulls of microbrews to round out my “organic, healthy and all-natural” shopping experience. On a side note, the Merchant of Vino is a much needed sanctuary if you ever tire of the holistic, nutritionally and spiritually fulfilling demagoguery the store slings at its shoppers. You’ll find none of that amongst the wine and beer traditionalists serving the store.

Apparently this is the only Whole Foods in the state of Colorado that sells beer (and wine). And so, this is where you can find those beers that North Coast brewed specially for WF, like Cru d’Or, Plowshare, and Silver Jubilee. Pretty nifty if small selection, including stuff like a few De Dolle Brouwers brews (Dulle Teve, Stille Nacht), Orkney Skullsplitter, several micros, etc. You won’t find anything here that you can’t find in Loveland or Ft. Collins, except those aforementioned North Coast beers.
