The beer selection is a little bit smaller than University Hy-vee’s, but they have most of the same good stuff. Sometimes they have a few bottles Hyvee doesn’t. Sometimes it’s the other way around. A little more expensive than Hyvee as well. | iamqueensblvd (3), , Iowa

You can buy good beer here, that being said it’s mainly just the Iowa basics. This place is better for the beer lover than the west side location, but not much. Now and again they get something in that no one else in Des Moines has, so it’s worth peeking in from time to time. The staff always looks confused when I walk out empty handed though. The service is usually fairly good, but not great, they’re awesome if you’re buying wine. |
