Huge bottle store which is located behind a supermarket in the west of Dortmund. Besides their beers, they also sell wines and spirits. Their beer assortment is very good and one of the biggest at least in NRW. Next to standard beers, Belgian and local stuff, you’ll find a big range of German, other European and even American craft beers. At the moment, the highlights probably are Crooked Stave and about twenty different bottles of Mikkeller. Prices are average. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Really worth a trip!
Additional rating for their web shop: The selection is smaller than in their stationary store and I assume not always up to date as one of my ordered beers was out of stock for a long time. But I’ve got a call from them in which they offered me a replacement beer which I accepted. The delivery and packaging were good besides the annoying styrofoam pieces. Prices are okay. The web shop itself looks pretty ugly but at least it has a clear structure and is easy to browse through.

Extremely well-assorted shop of bottled and kegged beers (also wine, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages) in the west of Dortmund, close to the A40 & A45 motorways. Thanks to Christian Rudat, the son of the owner, they have extended their offerings of craft beer on a big scale in recent times. Excellent and changing selection of craft beer from all over Europe, USA and international stuff, local brews, incl. an in-house Lager, but also some rural beers from Bavaria/Franconia which makes it worth a visit on a weekly basis for me. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially Mr. Rudat jr. is a beer enthusiast himself and open-minded regarding new developments on the market. Prices are fair and reasonable. Not only worth a detour. Recommended !

I’ve been there already a million of times and always find some new beers to try and buy. The selection is big ( locals, craft, European, world-wide..) and the service is super friendly. They have got a very efficient, helpful kind of "store manager" who always carries in new beers. For my likings, I miss some more American beers and don’t really fancy their Danish stuff, but hey, that’s moaning on a big level. Prices are okay, sometimes a little bit too high, but okay nevertheless. Will come back everytime I am around.

This would be a regular German Getrankemarkt, if it wasn’t for the import section that boasts some 300 different brews, of which most are NOT the pale-lager-from-exotic-country-really-special-my-friend type. What I found most valuable was the selection of German craft beers, easily some 50-60 different ones. Obviously, I lost quite a notable sum there but it was worth it. Prices were really ok and the staff was polite.

A recent visit was successful. This store has a good selection of German beer as well as some nice beers from England, America and Belgium. The Orval is offered at a great price! A full selection of the Moritz Fiege beers. They also carry Störtebeker Atlantik-Ale which I like and isn’t easy to find in my area. If I am near I will certainly stop by again.

Semi-large getränkemarkt that could do something better for the presentation; also, apparently some products are rather hidden. Nevertheless it’s good to find some shop in Germany with a selection of modern beers, both domestic and a few imports. Although the guy in the alley didn’t speak much English and I don’t speak much German, for sure he tried to help. Don’t miss out the fruit wines! (and one mead among them)

Very nice place. If lived near here I would be very happy. They have loads of brew equipment and dispensing equipment. They also have a very wide assortment of German beers, yes a lot of Pilsner too. I picked up a three pack in a wooden holder of the cheaper 13% to 16% Schorsch type beers. I also grabbed a German Porter, Schwartz beers, Doppelbocks, Dunkel Bocks, Dunkels and Landbeirs. I also saw a good 40 or 50 international beers including 1 from Greenland (a new country rating for me!) Lots of good stuff at great prices. I’d go back if I was staying closer.

Not the most beautiful beer-store in the world, but, compared to the average, drab german "Getränkemarkt" a very good adress. Small, but nice selection of foreign (Belgium, UK) beers, sometimes rarities from Bavaria. O.K.
Selection is now (2014) great! Very often new and rare beers from UK,US and Bavaria on the shelves; by far the best beer-shop in the Ruhr area!

A specialist for kegged beers with a round 50 different sorts avaiable. Some belgians, and a lot of lagers from around the world. A decent selection of Germany´s beers, also.
