| AirForceHops (47), Epping, New Hampshire | | February 7, 2011 A pizza place with a nice beer selection for Dover, NH. Late night when you want to grab a slice of pizza and grab a 6 pack, this is the spot. Nothing over the top but... they do have a good selection of local brews and a few harder to find sea coast beers. They also allow mix 6 packs. They charge for the most expensive out of the mix, but most regular places don’t allow you to mix. Nice spot if you are in Dover. | | liveFREEorRYE (10), Portsmouth, New Hampshire | | August 29, 2010 This place has the best selection in Dover hands down, but if you can make the trip to Portsmouth go to Garys. Smiley’s has a decent selection but nothing too great. They do have some local brews such as smuttynose, Manchester brewing, and white birch. Prices are good, but its very small and cramped I don’t go here too much. | | puboflyons (53), Allenstown, New Hampshire | | August 16, 2010 From the outside it looks like a pizza place, which it is. When you first walk in it feels like a dive. But once inside you will find a pretty decent selection for Dover. There is a side room devoted to 12 packs and a cooler along the back wall. Local crafts include White Birch, Woodstock Inn, Smuttynose, Shipyard, Ipswich, and Cisco. Imports include Unibroue, Samuel Smith, Belhaven and some Belgians. Otherwise everything available here is mostly available elsewhere, I think they hold onto everything until they sell it as I saw a few dusty bottles around. Not bad prices. | TheBeerBabe (9), Portland, Maine does not count - explanation | | March 4, 2010 Love Smiley’s. LOVE them. Used to live down the street, and the owner, Lynn, is a true beer geek. Something new in there every time I go, low prices, and hard to find craft beer. Do they have crazy belgian things? No. But do they have every new Rogue? Absolutely. Best beer selection in the Seacoast, and friendly wonderful service to boot. The place isn’t much to look at, but who cares about that when you have all the beer that they do. You can also mix 6 packs, which is always a good thing. | | rocbyter (43), Waterbury, Connecticut | | November 4, 2007 Not to bad of a selection. Found a few different rarities. Lots of 12 packs available. Helpful staff. Mix six. | | Pastor (15), Eliot, Maine | | June 8, 2007 This place has a better selection than Gary’s for bombers and a few more craft beers . | Beerdrinker35 (1), New Hampshire does not count - explanation | | May 24, 2004 I checked this place out over the weekend and I found a-lot more than 6 packs..I found Dogfish Head in all flavors, Smuttynose bombers, Buzzard’s Bay and lots more. There was a tasting from Casco Bay which was cool. I scored myself a sixpack of Bigfoot (which is in the back room) and the guy that helped me took his time. They have lots of beer here so you have to look around. 1 large floor, 2 coolers and a backroom that is kept cool and dark for the most part. I was there for a good 20 minutes checking everything out. They say that they carry everything available in NH and that NH is a difficult state to license a beer but is getting better. I hope so because I hate going over the boarder to get that rare beer. This place has sure come along way and has my business when I am in the area. | | ross (46), weddington, North Carolina | | May 14, 2004 whoever wrote that this is the place to buy your beer is wrong. this place has a nice selection, but by far not the best selection i found in NH. garys has many more rare beers and bombers than this place does. this place has six packs, and they have a good amount of unibroue but there was no big A ipa, which was aggrivating since the only place i found it was in maine. the clerk was pretty cute which was nice. a nice store that was not hard to find. good place. food is NA for me because i didnt buy any, they had typical gas station food and a little pizza parlor place. |
