ensign11 (1), Maryland does not count - explanation | | April 20, 2012 great bar great beers great service...always stop in when im in the area | Rughead (3), , does not count - explanation | | March 6, 2012 Wonderful but small. Great beer selection. A gem in Downingtown. | | MikeSTroupe (10), exton, Pennsylvania | | January 6, 2012 Small but very comfortable. Knowledgeable staff. I love their beers and the food is awesome which you can see them cooking with the open kitchen that is no bigger than my bedroom. Great place | gopher (1), Pennsylvania does not count - explanation | | October 13, 2011 Small but the noise from the echoing crowd is UNBEARABLE. And I’m nearly deaf. Come at a quiet time....
THEN it is perfect! The selection and service is amazing.Food yup.Good hang. | | watson1977 (55), The dub c, Pennsylvania | | January 9, 2011 one of my favorite local watering holes!! the only things keeping it from getting perfect scores is that it is small (so packed during popular watering hours) and the menu is somewhat small. now that aside...awesome wood and brickwork make it a cozy drinking/eating/socializing atmosphere. service is outstanding...owner sean is nearly always present and mixing it up with his guests and servers are super friendly and knowledgeable! very nice beer selection sprinkles in some very exotic choices with a solid lineup of nice available and seasonal crafts. almost always a great draught lineup and always a fine bottle selection. food is great...the menu is small but they do what they do well! try the red curry dish...sean reccomended it and it was lights out! i love this place...if the economy were better you would find me here all the time. thanks sean for opening this gem in our hometown! | | michael-pollack (100), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania | | December 17, 2010 Nice, local ambiance. Open kitchen, big bar. Excellent, beer-loving service. Good draught selection, and a nice bottle list as well. Food is good, though my burger was well when I ordered medium-rare. Very reasonable, if not cheap prices. If I lived closer, I would be there more. | | delirium11 (27), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania | | June 7, 2010 [ Updated June 10, 2010 ] I really enjoyed this little place. The menu was great, they really have the right idea. They have a small menu, but packed with interesting and well made food. Their beer list was the same, small but great selections and better than what you can find in most restaurants. I loved that you can get an 8oz beer, it allowed my boyfriend and me to try everything on their list that we never had. The fact that a majority of their selection was beer we never had was impressive because we are beer fanatics. The two favorites were the Beer Geek’s Breakfast stout and the Sierra Nevada Tripel. I’m sure that their list is always changing, but I’m sure it will be packed with some great selections. This place has the right idea. It’s right across from the R5 station so its easily accessible and it has parking! |
