| DiarmaidBHK (307), Pennsylvania | | March 10, 2011 Not a lot on tap but over 100 bottles of craft beer. The restaurant closes fairly early but the bar stays open later. The bar is fairly cramped but there seems to be a fair number of hotties out for a Thursday night. | | DeputyAndy (15), Ambler, Pennsylvania | | September 19, 2010 Small little bar. Has a really good selection both on draft and in bottles. I’ve never been here and found an insanely rare brew, but I’ve always seen a really solid list of great, more common beers. Service is a little slow since the bartenders often have to physically check the coolers to see if they have what you’ve ordered, but they still try very hard. It can be pretty crowded at times, and air conditioning can be a big problem. A few televisions line the wall but sports aren’t the main focus of Mesquito. On the outskirts of Doylestown, its doesn’t get as much heavy traffic as other bars, but still feels maintains a lively crowd. | | Birdiebeagle (44), Perkasie, Pennsylvania | | March 24, 2009 A real good resturant. Great food, and a wonderful beer list. Many of the beers are on tap. I like the style. It is a very nice place to go to dinner with friends and drink some good beer. | | AMN (10), Dublin, Pennsylvania | | September 15, 2008 The beer menu is so exciting because although I’ve seen bigger menus, they go for quality over quantity. There’s no beer on the menu here that I have tried and didn’t like. Prices are decent, and as others have mentioned, the world beer tour is a neat feature. The wings were pretty good, too, but not the best in the area. Fits very well in Doylestown. | emh217 (1), Doylestown, Pennsylvania does not count - explanation | | October 2, 2007 The food is great. The beer selection is the best in the immediate area. The monthly "World Beer Tour" is fun, good food specials paired with great beer selections from different countries makes it worth coming back often. The bar tenders are knowledgable & always welcoming. The new 58" TV makes it my favorite place for Eagles games! | | jrob21 (45), Atlanta, Georgia | | September 3, 2007 Great spot in an old school neighborhood. Food was decent. The nachos were messy but good. Had a salad too which was just what I needed. Service was a little slow at a couple spots but the poor girl had to keep running up stairs to help us. Great bottle selection to go and a couple of good taps to try as well. Bottles included a variety of Rogue, Unibroue, Ayinger, Victory, Allagash, and River Horse products. The rest of the food reminids me of a sports bar with sammies, wings, etc. | | jason (45), Easton, Pennsylvania | | November 20, 2006 Been here many times to either pick up a bottle from their 4 coolers of singles or for a great/rare beer on draft. Had on draft here in the past McChouffee, Imperial Pumpkin, Hobgoblin, also some nice belgians. The food is great, especially their wings. Service can sometimes be subpar, I’ve waited at the bar for over 5 minutes one time, But most times have been great. The owner/guy who orders the beers has always been helpful has even told me to call anytime to ask for him on availability. They have some nice Belgians available in singles and have even found some Heavyweights. Worth the trip if near the area. |
