If you know a bit about brewing, then you wonít find there anything new. Fine, itís not for beer geeks, but for tourist. But since Guinness has a great and long history itís a pity that there is very little information about it. You can find a lot more at their website, I guess it should be the other way around. What you find there? Mostly corporate bullshit Iím afraid. Even the section about commercials was a bit disappointing, I expected more. The Gravity Bar has a great view (I guess itís the best view in Dublin), but it was so crowded that you can fell like being in sauna. And it was just about 15C outside, image how it would fell on hot summer day. The actual brewery is just across the street, but you can only see a glimpse of the brewhouse, and you donít get any information about current brewery or brewing process, or anything. But you do get a lot of reminders, that Guinness is special, unique and better, that others big beers. And now the biggest drawback - prices and value. You have to buy a ticket just to enter the gift shop, which sounds idiotic to me. But donít bother with this shop, as prices there are higher, than in Irish gift shops in Dublin, or at the airport! Badge of fudge is 3 vs 3,5, two glasses 8 vs 10, a shirt 15 vs 18.

Aahh... I got up early, had a full Irish breakfast at the hotel. What to do then? Guinness Storehouse! And, a chance to try the modern tram (Luas Red-line) A single ticket from the nearby Jervis Street to Heuston cost 1,90 Euro. Then only a short walk to the entrance. No queue at all before noon in February. Admission is 20 Euro or 18 Euro online. Informative seven storey visitor experience. Itís not a brewery tour, but about the history and making of Guinness.Try the Taste Experience, here you can smell the distinctive flavours off Guinness. Mmm... Hops and malt. And in the end: a free pint (lovely!) and 360 degrees Dublin city views. (Visited February 17th 2016)

Es gibt einen Rundgang der nichts besonderes ist. Nett ist, dass man sich am Schluss sein eigenes Pint Guiness zapfen darf. Von Oben in der Bar mit tollem Blick Łber Dublin schmeckt das doppelt so gut.

Visited early so the lines were not too bad. History of the company was stressed. Did enjoy the Gravity Bar with an excellent view of Dublin. A bit pricey. If looking for Guinness souvenirs this gift shop is bursting with them. A one time visit is my take. One piint included with tour.

A must for Guinness lover or a tourist. For others - donít waste your time - there are wide much better opportunities specifically in the Temple Bar area...

Obviously just diageo products beer wise, you can get the FES (7%) in the lower bars and take up to the gravity bar with you. Grat views an bustling atmosphere but I find the more pubby bar downstairs. Donít waste your token pouring your own pint
