Very crowdy and busy bar, I had one of their own on tap, good selection of guest beers as well. There was live trad Irish music at my short visit.

I have visited Porterhouse numerous times over the years on visits to Dublin. Prior to the last couple of years this was the main place to go to get something other than Guinness and Kilkenny. It is a pretty busy multi-storey bar in a rather touristy part of town. They offer a wide range of their own beers, of which the dark beers tend to be the best. The bottle selection is actually pretty good covering plenty of classics from UK, Germany and Belgium. Prices are actually not too bad in my opinion. After a few house beers its best to move onto Orval and Drie Fonteinen in bottles. Service is usually pretty good considering how busy they get. A pretty decent spot and a good step up from their London outpost.

Good range of beers under their own banner. Only disappointing thing was no cask during our visit. Keg can be too carbonated and too cold thereby losing taste and mouthfeel. Standard pub food, but of decent quality. Tried their own Oyster stout, Hop Head, Red Ale and a Sierra Nevada Harvest..all in good nick

Great Irish pub in Temple Bar area. Beer was good and so was the stew.

Stopped by while checking out a few places in Dublin. Nice multi level bar with some of their own beers on draft as well as guest taps. Bottle list is pretty decent - Drie Font Oude G for 6.50 and Hannsens Oude G for 6.00. Friendly service. Beers were eh to ok.

The wife and I stopped in here after lunch. It is right in the Temple Bar area, so it’s right in the middle of everything. They had only Porterhouse beers on tap, but they had a pretty impressive bottle list. I ordered a sampler of four beers and the wife had a Boon Framboise all for under ten euros. We didn’t order food, but could have if we wanted to. The food looked like typical bar fare. It was pretty crowded, but I think that is just the norm. We were here on a sunday in the middle of the afternoon, so I don’t know that we could have been here at a better time. Probably just what you have to deal with in the middle of Dublin.

Really busy bar. Tourist hotspot. Not got the same range as the central one. Managed a couple of scoops as guests different. Try this one early. It’s popular and struggle to get sat down

Visited on a Friday afternoon. Fairly busy but service was still good. Nice selection of Porterhouse beers. Also a decent bottle selection from Europe and the U.S. Prices seemed very reasonable. Would visit again if in Dublin.

Very tourist orientated, but to be expected given the location. Own beers are pretty good, service is OK.

Wonderfully set up pub with various sections / levels for seating. Mostly Porterhouse beers on tap, which available to order in flights: 3 x 7 oz. for €5.50, which is nice. Some guest taps as well, and an extensive bottle selection. Inside, there were some locals playing traditional Irish music, which certainly enhanced the experience. All in all, great place to stop.
