| skortila (125), Baarn, Netherlands | | April 22, 2012 The brewery is located in a more industrial area, just a short walk from the station. When we arrived they weren’t officially open, but kind enough to let is in and try their beer, which were quite good. Would visit again if I was in the neighbourhood. | | Ungstrup (335), Oamaru, New Zealand | | March 19, 2011 Set in somewhat of an industrial area, not that easily accesible for a pedestrian, but it can work out. From the outside the building looks more like a warehouse than a brewery. I didn’t have time for the tour, so I only visited the tasting room, where I had a sample of a Brewers Reserve from tap and bought 4 seldom beers to go. I have to come back when I return to Dunedin. | | EastCoaster (10), | | July 29, 2009 Incredible place to visit I dropped in on a Friday when the brewers are allowed to brew their own creations and then sell them as a brewers reserve. One of the other notable breweries in New Zealand over capitalized and then went under and now Emersons arguably has two of the top three brewers working for them in NZ.
Oh after a tour from the brewer he had to tend to his brew and he led us to the tasting area and gave us glasses and said he had to return to the brew! Choice. | | DuffMan (185), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta | | March 29, 2009 [ Updated August 28, 2009 ] I didn’t have time for a tour, but was able to drop by to check it out. Surprisingly smaller than I expected, very friendly helpful staff. They gave me printed information on their beers, as well as a comprehensive stocklist on where I can find them on the south island. Only their own products available (but that isn’t surprising). In addition to their beers, you can pick up T-shirts, caps, glasses, etc. Certainly worth stopping by if only to try their very exclusive Brewer’s Reserve beer, which changes monthly and is not bottled (...with recent exceptions). I’ve said before that the entire range of Emerson’s products are world-class, and stand out as among the best New Zealand has to offer. |
