15 reviews for Lueken’s Liquors
| Mojo33543 (11), , | | September 21, 2009 All the way back in the right corner you will find all sorts of beer some comun some a prety rare the palce is nicely unorganize but you will find some you’ll like | | nick76 (76), Tampa, Florida | | May 25, 2009 [ Updated May 26, 2009 ] The appearance of the place isn’t much from the outside or in but what you find in there is quite impressive. The service was friendly but no one offered to help. The selection is one of (if not) the best in the Bay area right up there with BWOL. However the stock has quite a few old bottles just like Beer World used to be and the organization is lacking. But poke around and you are sure to find something. The prices were about average to quite a bit less. Overall a great place to find craft beer and a place that you must shop at if your in the area. I’ll be back for sure. | | Nail (10), Georgia | | May 15, 2009 This is a great store with a good selection and the added benefit of selling liquor and wine. | BobLorb (5), largo, Florida does not count - explanation | | April 30, 2009 Great selection of beer and liquor - a great shopping experience | | markwise (56), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida | | February 1, 2009 Wow. I was very surprised. I had heard mixed reviews about this place, and when I walked in I saw 3/4 of the elderly population of Dunedin buying vodka in bulk (weird), but in the back is the beer. Damn! They have a few seasonal finds, lots of Terrapin, Bell’s, Brooklyn, Belgians, Stone, Christmas Beers, Sour Beers, Jolly Pumpkin, etc. I was thoroughly impressed. They even had a vintage beer section (mostly picked through), but they had a lot of beers unavailable outside of bars in the Tampa area. The closest thing to Knightly Spirits in Tampa, with a beer section about as big- but more focus on American Micros. Prices are, for the most part, very reasonable. I will be back. | | kiefdog (101), Tampa, Florida | | December 29, 2008 Visited in early December. Nice shop. Really wasnt expecting such a large store to be located in a strip mall, so I guess I had limited expectations and was pleasantly surprised. I agree with sebletitje that there are some bargains to be found here, but some of the items seemed a little high for the area as well. Same Terrapin Wake and Bake and other recently released beers on the shelf. Found some really old Unibroue bottles (15 and 16) as well. They have a vintage bottle area (which I am told was just recently done) that houses older bottles of beer. Takes a while to look at the selection as there is quite a bit to see. It is a ways from Tampa, but not too far down the street if you are visiting the Oldsmar Tap House. Worth a stop for sure. | | sebletitje (78), Tampa, Florida | | October 3, 2008 Greta location in Dunedin that beats most of the other Tampa places with its prices.
You cannot beat 120 $ 7.99, Java $10.00, Jolly Pumpkin Mars @ $10.99 + a lot of other, many singles of good quality can be had for about $1.99 up to $3.99+
They have a large selection of imports, I saw a failry good bit of BUnited beers, lot of rare Italian beers. They do keep a lot of vintage. Didn’t have much intercation with staff, check out noticed I got some good brews, informed me that they would soon open a website for online orders and deliveries.
A good drive from Tampa, but the value beats any places in Tampa. Many of the beers I checked out were cheaper than in Tampa. Sometimes by up to 50%+
| | jimbo29 (12), tarpon springs, Florida | | August 11, 2008 [ Updated October 24, 2008 ] This is the best place to by beer in the Tampa bay area. Lots of hard to find beers, great prices, and who ever runs that store sure knows what ther doing. They also have the best liquor selection and prices than anywhere else in florida. | | DragonStout (73), Pataskala, Ohio | | December 9, 2007 If you are going to Dunedin Brewery, stop here.A big supermarket like place full of liquor, wine , and beer. The selection is good and easy to navigate through.Price are average. | | Quake1028 (30), Tampa, Florida | | October 6, 2007 As my friend said, "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO". Looks like it doesn’t belong in this era from the outside. Older part of town, dirty parking lot. Inside is a little better. Pretty good beer selection, I’ve been told it’s expanded a bit recently. Great prices, and some stuff you can’t find anywhere else. Service was sparse but decent, can’t say much for their beer knowledge since I didn’t speak to anyone at length. |
