This new sports bar is located in the warehouse over the left field fence of the Durham Bulls Park. The large patio overlooks the field, with many of the seats outside having good views of the game. There are some big flat screens outside as well. Inside it looks like an upscale version of an ESPN-Zone or other modern, all-out sports bar. There are flat screens everywhere you look, so no matter where you sit in this large facility, you’ll have a TV in clear site. You can even sit in a personal lounge chair, recline, and watch your own TV. Cool setup. The food is far above standard bar fare. They take pride in the quality and uniqueness of the cuisine. Everything we ate was better than expected. Service wasn’t particularly fast as it was pretty crowded on a Tuesday night (Bulls game and a couple major sporting events on TV), but the server was attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. Enough about all that, this is a beer site. They had about a dozen taps and 2-3 times that in bottles. They have the usual BMC choices, plus a few nice standard crafts (2 Hearted, Fat Tire, etc.), but the real winner for me was the great list of NC brews. Highland, Triangle, Big Boss, Aviator, Lone Rider, Duck Rabbit, Foothills, Mother Earth, and French Broad were all represented and many of those had multiple offerings. I didn’t notice any high gravity beers on the list, or really anything a local beer nerd would be shocked to find...if that’s what you’re looking for, Tyler’s is right around the corner. This will be my new place to come watch the games, eat good food, and drink fresh NC beer with the best view in Durham.
