Stopped by here briefly between a wedding ceremony and the reception. Clean, lots of TVs, waiter was very enthusiastic and attentive. Beer was certainly nothing to get excited about, but wasn’t awful. Selection wasn’t very good though. Would be nice if they rotated in some more beers, and tried some different styles. Didn’t try the food, but looked pretty good for a bar and grill. If I lived nearby, I would come often enough to try all of their stuff, but otherwise I woudn’t go out of my way to go to it.

Suburban chain restaurant/brewpub. Fun to get brewpub beers, but nothing really spectacular here. Food is good, atmosphere is nice and clean, albeit low on the character scale. Value is pretty good - got a flight of 7 beers for $3.75, tough to beat that if you are hunting for ratings.

Visited here in August ’09. Corporate brewpub atmosphere - the patrons could care less if the beer is hand crafted. Very nice setting - lots of wood and brick, fireplaces etc. Have their four or five regulars on tap with a few rotating seasonals. Food is excellent and the service is very attentive. Beer is corporate brewpub quality - brewed to the masses and palatable.

As all the Granite City restaurants in the Twin Cities are new, they are clean and well kept. The ambiance is a cross between a typical sports bar and small group, after work watering hole. Televisions display the current college or pro sports game and are visible from any seating location. Service is provided by mostly high school aged wait staff. Alcohol is delivered by an over 21-year-old. Service is good but attention to detail could improve (to be expected with high school kids, I guess). A small selection of micro brewed beers, which are delicious, the Brother’s Benedict Bock being my favorite followed by the Duke of Wellington IPA. The selection of micro brewed beers includes seasonal beers as well. The food is delicious with large portions. Prices are very reasonable. The restaurant is relatively child friendly with a diverse selection offered on their children’s menu.
