This is a great liquor store in general. Its a place I go to try new liquors, scope a decent deal on some beer I most likely wont see at other stores, let my fiancee browse the wine selection and do a tasting. Also, if you are looking for beer and cheese/ meat pairings this is by far one of 2 places in the metro I would shop.

December 19, 2011 - met here for a trade and stopped in the store to check it out. Seemed like a decent joint. There was a nice wall of singles, though seemed a little pricey at $2.25 a pop for all, including stuff like Leinie’s. Very large beer cave that was stocked with craft brews.

A= A very impressive look to this store. Clean and well organized but really focussed on wine. S= A fellow named Bill helped me to find several new beers to try. Was most helpful. S= An increased selection of specialty beer over the past two years that I’ve shopped there. Nice improvement. F= N/A V= A little higher on some things but overall fair. O= If you love wine, this is a meca. Beer category is improving but still not at the level of some of the more well known beer stores.

Great beer store - some of the reviews on here are several years old, and I can tell you that the beer selection these days is pretty darn good. I’ve attended beer events here that were a great time as well.

Maybe not the best beer store locally judging by some of the reviews, but they ship out of state – all the way to Arizona. I just opened a box with a 4 pack of Surly Furious, a 6 pack a Tyranena Scurvy, a 4 pack of Tyranena Doubly Down ‘ n Even Dirtier and a 4 pack of Founders Double Trouble. Shipped out the next day and friendly emails from the staff. Not cheap, but I love having access to the beers above. If you can’t get them locally, give this place a try.

I like this store. Yes, it is more expensive than other places but they get all the limited releases that sell out fast at other stores. The staff is friendly and will hold bottles for you if you ask nicely. Nice walk in cooler of beer along with a many cooler doors of beer. They also do singles and BYO 6 packs. The only really knock on this is the overall value.

A city run liquor store that is greatly overpriced and a very limited selection for quality beer. Essentially, they have Bells, Goose Island, Surly, and a couple of other widely available selections. They do have a good wine selection and a smattering of quality vodkas, scotchs, and rums. For beer, however, go elsewhere. Also, this is a government run shop, spend your money at an independent, privately owned establishment, you will be much more satisfied.

Been a while since I’ve been here. Poor service and small selection. One bottle of wine I looked at was $20 more than Surdyks for the same vintage.

Great place for wine. Very unspectacular beer selection. Plus the prices are high. Very unimpressed with the service. Asked for Geuze and the staff had no idea. Very hit or miss.

They have alot of regular brews but have really gone away from having a good beer selection.Nothing you can’t find anywhere else.
