We have visited the Edinburgh outpost of BrewDog on numerous occasions. It is well located down on the Cowgate. Inside it is actually pretty small, or perhaps that reflects how busy the bar usually is. Feels a bit grimier/ rougher around the edges that the other BD bars. They offer 14 draught lines with two-thirds BrewDog to one third guests (one of the poorer ratios around). Expect a rather unique bottle selection and pretty tasty beers in general. A good addition to the Edinburgh beer scene for sure, but it sits towards the lower end of BrewDog bars for me. If I happen to be in the area I will stop past, but I much prefer the likes of Hanging bat/Cloisters/Bow Bar etc.

A once-interesting place that has gone down and starting to come back up again. Unfortunately itís not really targeted towards me (or the ticker crowd) anymore as the draught selection is largely Brewdogís core beers, a couple less common Brewdog beers, and maybe 5 guests if you are lucky. Often guest beers will sit for a couple of weeks but rotation has been a bit better lately. The staff are ever changing so service varies. Bottle selection is quite vast but can be ridiculously overpriced. Only had food on a couple occasions but been underwhelmed especially with the high cost.

Visited on Saturday evening. Nice place in the city center. Only their headliners on tap and guestbeers from top breweries but at the moment I couldnít find any interesting ones. Bottled selection is big, including some rare and hard to find ones from USA and EU. Great staff.

A somewhat middle-of-the-road BrewDog bar, at least compared to their best. Typical range of BD kegs supplemented with a fair assortment of guests and the types of bottles youíll find in all BD bars. The place itself isnít very big so with even a moderate crowd it can feel full. The pizza looked good but I didnít have any. Friendly staff. A good option for Edinburgh.

And another brewdog bar. Preferred Glasgow to this one slightly, but it was close. Seemed quite small and wouldnít like to be here when itís very busy. Same hyper-enthusiastic staff. Wi-fi. Worth as stop but paled after the Hanging Bat.

Grungier than other BrewDogs, but certainly not off putting. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The selection might not have been as good as other BrewDogs, possibly because of space limitations, but I enjoyed what I had.

Half and half concept, Brewdog vs guest taps, a very nice selection - and as soon as the beers ran out theyíd connect a new cask. We had a great kriek almost hand picked by one of the staff this way. A lot of bottles as well. What stood out was the outstanding service and knowledge of the guy who helped us out. Highly recommended, a tad better than their pub in Aberdeen.

Iíve been finding myself visiting this joint more and more recently. They went through a bit of a dull patch in terms of selection and service but itís pretty much back up to peak game. Guest taps are usually good but slow to change. Bottle selection is best in town although the good ones usually disappear quickly so a bit of a lottery what you might find. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

This is a great addition to the Edinburgh beer scene, with 12 tap. split 6 brewdog core range 6 guest(either BD special or the likes of left hand mikkeller, and great divide) Bottle list is pretty hardcore for scotland with lots of good names like Nogne, De struise, and Mikkeller as well as onces from the US like stone and 3Floyds. Bottle prices are fairly resonable giving that many are specally imported (and that you are drinking in a Pub; so dont expect shop prices) but do expect to pay £12 for some beers.

I know Brewdog want to do there own thing, but once again theres no cask beer. I think this is a real shame and what stops this place from being a world class pub. When you deliberatly handicap yourself but not serving the kind of beer the UK excels at you exclude the possibility of selling some wondeful beers. This place could have been up there with the likes of Brasserie 4:20 in rome. None the less this is a great pub and im well glad to see it. Sadly over time the priced seemed to have creeped up and up
