Decorative pub in the city centre with beautiful fixtures, tiling and windows. The beer range was pretty staid on our visit, which seems to be quite normal by the looks, but well served. Traditional bar next door to the Guildford Arms. Beautiful decor, excellent service. Bank of 4 hand pumps on either side of the bar serving well cared for well known Scottish Real Ales. Four guest ales on tap: Kelburn Red Smiddy, Kelburn Dark Moor, Deuchars IPA and Harviestoun Bitter & Twisted. Very good raw oysters. Loved this place. Great atmosphere, great crowd. Only suggestion would be that the staff behind the bar should know more about the beer they’re serving. Wonderfull building with some standard ales... Worth a visit or at least a look in the Window for it history and superb interior. |
