| jvhemert (11), Edinburgh, Scotland | | February 25, 2012 Large variation and ever changing selection of beers. Too much biased towards Scottish and American beers. Needs to diversify countries. | | Benio (13), , | | January 16, 2012 great selection of beers | | MalcolmTucker (14), , Scotland | | November 24, 2011 Cornelius has a good selection of beers from the UK and abroad. The staff are always friendly and helpful. | | JohnRMurdoch (208), Glasgow, Scotland | | September 21, 2011 Off Licence in the east end of Edinburgh. Great selection of interesting beers & knowledgeable helpful service. What more could you want? - Website and mail order would be ideal. | BenH (3), Edinburgh, Scotland does not count - explanation | | September 21, 2011 Stocks a good range of decent beers. Base stock doesn’t change very much. Ocassionaly get small batches of high end low availability beers. Staff are helpful and knowledgable. | | brownyonder (22), Edinburgh, Scotland | | July 30, 2011 Possibly have the most rapidly changing selection in Edinburgh, so those Saturday afternoon trips while out taxi driving for the kids are always worthwhile. | brianlavelle (6), Edinburgh, Scotland does not count - explanation | | May 29, 2011 A good selection of beer, and a frequently rotated stock. I’ve found a few things here I’d never even heard of before, so it’s always worth a look. Friendly and knowledgeable staff too. As others have comments, not the most accessible location from the city. | | Blairgus (55), California | | May 25, 2011 Primarily a wine shop. Has a decent selection of Scottish, American and German beers. a few mainstream belgian beers. there is significant turnover so each visit means beers that weren’t previously available. | BeerCast_Rich (8), Edinburgh, Scotland does not count - explanation | | May 20, 2011 While the West of the city has the newer Appellation Wines, over East James has been running Cornelius for many years. Enthusiastic and able to provide great advice where needed, the beer range is pretty impressive. Scottish and German beers are the most abundant, some decent American beers as well.
They have a great rolling stocklist at Cornelius, new things are always arriving. Come Christmas it’s the best place in town for the European and US seasonals (I’ve bought a six-pack of Anchor Special Ale from James every year since 2006). The only downside is it’s a bit of a trek from the city centre. But usually a worthwhile one… | | Oakes (593), Gibsons, British Columbia | | October 13, 2010 Good beer selection here. They’re geeky enough, and will hook you up. I was surprised by how many American beers were there. The closest real ale pub is the Regent, if all this beer shopping makes you thirsty. |
