| Brugmansia (32), Jylland, Denmark | | April 26, 2012 Visited this pub on the Great Graig Pubcrawl Tour 23/4-2012.
A large pub in the citycenter. They often have their own small beerfestival going on, therefore this place is always worth a visit. They have a small restaurent upstairs, where they do great food. The pub has a very open space and great deko. Friendly staff, but a bit touristed. | | imdownthepub (164), Banbury, England | | April 22, 2012 Rather a grand and spectacular Victorian style pub in a very central location, very handy for the buses. Big windows, plenty of light, plenty to look at. Good for Scottish micro brewery beers. Met Craig in here, he had an inkling we would start there. Nice buzz about the place, but as mentioned before, quite pricey. | | rosenbergh (275), Helsinki, Finland | | March 3, 2012 Grandeur and slightly fancy place. 6pm Thursday. Very busy. Lots of older people. 10 casks. OK prices. OK service. | | mark1969 (21), edinburgh, Scotland | | January 16, 2012 really beautiful bar .good selection of beer on tap. very quick service and friendly . | | Dr_Butty (11), , Scotland | | January 1, 2012 Close to Edinburgh’s bustling Prince’s Street is this gem of a pub. A glance around and up reveals a fine interior but the best part is the bar which always carries a good selection of local real ales as well as a a fair few from over the border. The beer is usually well kept, although you will pay Edinburgh prices for the pleasure of drinking it. It’s worth it though.
Upstairs there’s a small gallery and restaurant serving decent, if unexceptional, food. | | jvhemert (11), Edinburgh, Scotland | | November 12, 2011 Always quite crowded. Good central location, but hidden from tourists. Always an impressive list of good quality draft beers on their 10 pumps. Also have interesting bottles from time to time. | | tomahawk (10), Lille, France | | August 28, 2011 Traditional scotish pub with a good selection of cask ales. Ambiance is very friendly. One of the best place in Edinburgh. | | downender (196), Bristol, England | | July 24, 2011 Visited on 7/6/2011. Another Edinburgh pub with an attractive old ceramic and wood interior. It was busy for mid-afternoon on weekday, but the service was efficient and friendly. The beer choice was decent and the quality good. | | Borresteijn (97), Amsterdam, Netherlands | | November 4, 2010 Visited during Edinburgh pubcrawl with my girlfriend, Craig, Fin, Loz, Arjan. Large bar just outside the train station, just off Princess street, historic interior, there was a beer festival when we visited so plenty of cask ales on, had a very good smoked mackarel & mushroom pie, staff was a bit uninterested. Nice place to have a couple of beers and some food, although a bit pricy. | | JohnRMurdoch (208), Glasgow, Scotland | | October 4, 2010 [ Updated April 3, 2011 ] Traditional Scottish bar with 10 handpumps serving interesting well cared for beers & a selection of unusual bottles Carpeted and busy. Good location. Quite expensive. One of the best in Edinburgh |
