| JohnRMurdoch (208), Glasgow, Scotland | | May 7, 2011 Very small cosy traditional homely bar in Edinburgh New Town. Good selection of cask ales. Service slow but still worth a visit. | | Rune (234), Tromsø, Norway | | December 7, 2010 Super cosy, small, intimately pub in the new town of Edinburgh. Has got a definitely local feel to it with people at the bar watching Sunday’s football matches. I ordered two half pint from the exciting range of cask ales, and found a place to sit down in a tiny, narrow library at the rear end of the bar. Seven operating hand pumps. Attentive service. Just top-notch and a new favourite for me. About 15 minutes walk from Princess Street (visited on a Sunday pub crawl, 28.11.2010). | | cgarvieuk (96), Edinburgh , Scotland | | October 14, 2010 This was a regular at one point as a friend loved very close... I still try to make it part of my Regular crawls ... beers always in good condition ... but the range can be a bit soso (if you drink regularly in scotland) Can get mobbed when Rugby is on, but the little back room is a great place to sit with a few friends when its quieter. | | Oakes (593), Gibsons, British Columbia | | October 13, 2010 Great atmosphere in this local’s place in the New Town. They had a good beer list too. My biggest beef was the prices, easily the highest in Edinburgh and competing with some yuppie joints in London for highest beer prices in the entire UK I swear. | | Beershine (540), The Sunshine State, Florida | | September 17, 2010 This place has great character, and it’s tucked away on a mostly residential zone so it adds to the specialness. The selection was fun, although some not in the best condition. |
