A medium sized place that perhaps best could be described as a mix between a restaurant and a pub with service by the table. Decent range of mostly Scottish beers on tap, about 20 pumps, many of them from the Williams Brothers, but also from local microbreweries like Alechmy. Reasonably friendly service. The lunch food was quite alright. Easy to find at the busy Lothian Road with the Bat just a bit further up the street (visited 07.08.2013).

this bar seems fairly under rated in my experience of it. Modern bar/diner style layout, taps out of walls, interesting ephemera, closest decent pub to haymarket. Fantastic good value breakfasts, a range of keg and cask beers, with some regulars and other guests. My visit was during a beer festival; so may have been better than usual? Staff friendly and helpful though fairly new; so a little slow! Typical pricing strucutre, suffers a bit from being so near to the paradise that is hanging bat but well worth a visit

Relaxed atmosphere, very welcoming. 17 taps, and most are Williams Brothers. No real gems on when we visited. 3x 1/3 pints for tasting is a nice touch. Pints quite expensive (in the 4-5 pounds range) Did not try the food.

Great place next to the hotel, where I stayed. Local beers on tap. A few on cask. Didnít look for the bottled selection, but my eyes spotted a few bottles from NÝgne ō. Food s served - didnít try, but it looked like standard pub fare.

Samey feel as itís sister pub, Holyrood. OK draught selection thatís dispensed from the taps behind the bar, American style. Staff are friendly. Popular amongst a mixed crowd.

Visited this pub on the Great Graig Pubcrawl Tour 23/4-2012.
One of the newer city pubs in Edinburgh, and owned by the same people as 2 other pubs. A part of this pub seems more as a cafe than a pub. Itīs possible to have 1/3 pints here. They have a traditionel pub menu, but didnīt eat here. Friendly staff, but a bit anonymous this pub.

The beer selection wonít satisfy the hardcore rater but it includes a few good beers that are well looked after. The burgers are really good. Service was excellent - table service all night.

Itís not traditional, but by making the place more appealing to office workers and the fairer sex, they may succeed in getting more people to drink good beer. Itís a bit odd having the taps at the back of the bar and all looking the same - I like the ornate taps in traditional bars. Thereís definitely room for a bar like this in most cities.

Interesting modern beer bar with a large number of taps. A bit like Euston Tap but more spacious. Emphasis on Scottish keg beer. CAMRA wonít like it but I do. Beer well cared for but it is expensive. A modern yuppie place. Last time I had a beer here it was off so I have reduced my score.
