April 26, 2012 Friendly bar close to the University area of Edinburgh, there is a good, constantly changing, range of beers. More basic than the city centre pubs, this had flagstone floors and fairly standard seating. There is good banter with a wider range of ages in here. Worth the trip out. |

January 19, 2012 this is a great wee bar, I like coming here for the 4 hand pulled guest casks that seem to be on constant rotation. The beer has always been in good condition and the staff are happy to give you a sample to help you decide. |

February 24, 2011 This is a great, small british pub. Always a few regulars as well as others. There are always four guest ales in in addition to regular beers. There is alsoa a great single malt whisky selection as well. A very nice place to enjoy a pint or a dram! |

November 18, 2010 Small locals place, pretty traditional. Not far from the Malaysian restaurant. The beers were in ok shape. They rotate Scottish handles here. |

September 26, 2010 Adorable one-room pub that does not over-sparkle their beers. Has a South African flag proudly displayed over the bar. Close to a Malaysian restaurant called Kampung. |

December 23, 2008 Small, four sided room pub located in the University area of Edinburgh. Four hand pulled cask ales and at least 15 Belgian bottled beers on the menu. Top service. No food. Cosy. Visited 26.10.2008. |

July 23, 2008 I stumbled across this wee bar on a recent trip to Edinburgh. It is a traditional Scottish pub that is on a street parallel to South Clerk Street so it is away from the main road. The proprietor, Sandy, served an excellent quality cask beer and was very pleasant as we spoke about real ales over a pint. There were 3 cask beers that are rotated constantly, Mcewans Export, along with the usual cider and lager taps. The selection of bottled beers were fantastic many unusual beers from around the world. This, to me, was an unknown wee gem, but I would definitely go back the next time I visit Edinburgh. |
