2014-07-10. We killed pitcher of water super quickly after a hot walk up Arthurís seat. Our friendly waitress is patient with our dehydrated melty brains. Classy old building feel with modern touches like a fresh paint job and some leather seating. Feels almost a touch more restaurant on the side of pub because of the high ceilings but I like it. Got 1/3 pint flights if three. Caesar salads are some much needed veggies after two weeks I Scotland. Tasty but too much dressing. We got some Fat Manís Nuts pistachios as a snack. The room is far too warm overall but it is probably one of the warmest days of the summer so far. Would come back, it is worth a visit.

Modern bar just off the Royal Mile, took us a while to be seated on a bustling Friday afternoon. Large selection of kegged micros, served a little too cold for my tastes. Burgers are tasty, service is friendly. Good for a few ticks and food, not a place to linger at for a longer period of time though.

Visited a couple of times, one of the newer pubs, a bit away from the town center. But still within walking distance. Larger, cosy pub, good numbers of seatings. Good selection af beers on tap as well as in bottles. They do a nice pub menu of food as well. Beers served in good condition, staff very friendly. During daytime this place is a very family friended place. For sure worth a visit whenever in Edinburgh :-)

Great place. Lovely atmosphere and nice interior. A small but good selection of beers on tap and a good selection on bottle as well. Staff was friendly and attentive, and the price of beer and food was pretty resonable too. Iíll definitely go there again next time Iím in town.

This is probably the best of the Fuller Thomson outlets - at least in Edinburgh. The offering of food and beer is very similar to the others but the difference is that there seems to be a little more beer expertise within the staff here. I could be wrong, but thatís my observation.

A large pub offering four cask ales, more than 20 on keg supported by a decent bottle range. From breweries like Moor, Tempest, Alechemy, BrewDog, Summer Wine, Magic Rock among others. Very busy and crowded on a Saturday afternoon, seems to be a popular pub for food. Located not so far from the BrewDog Bar in Edinburgh (Visited, 10.08.2013).

Modern but slightly spartan beer bar selling interesting cask & keg beers. Situated just behind the Royal Mile. Satisfactory service. Sells 1/3 pints so it gets a thumbs up from me.

Keg and cask beer available in this modern pub/bar/restaurant. Interesting, diverse selection, though unsure what the turn around is like here. Burgers are popular amongst diners.

Good pub that has about a dozen beers on tap and a decent bottle selection. The burgers are excellent.
