Small 2 roomed pub, classical Edinburgh type bar with 2 smallish rooms but ornately fitted out. Small range of beers but mostly Scottish micro’s, which makes it worth visiting. Spent a very relaxed ouple of hours in there.

Small, but friendly 2 room pub in Young Street, excellent efficient service, great atmosphere, but gets easily overcrowded. One of my favourite pubs in Scotland

As featured in the Scootish detective programme Rebus. Very small traditional Scottish bar with extremely friendly atmosphere & service. 4 real ale taps, 3 in use. not the best place for beer geeks but still a good place to visit.

I cant believe i havent rated this ... This is famous for "Inspector Rebus" drinking there... ITs only a very small selection of beers.... but its a clasic old man two room pub... bar is tiny but the back room is much bigger.

Famous place, real old man vibe. Perpendicular drinking. It’s supposed to be a writers’ pub, too. For me, it was mostly the poor state of the beer that stood out. Otherwise, it’s on a lot of itineraries so probably worth a stop if you’re walking out towards the Stockbridge Tap and getting thirsty.

Cute place with local character and a historic interior. Beer was not in great condition when we were there but it was mid-week and would return on a weekend before making judgment. Good vibe and service.
