Visited this pub on the Great Graig Pubcrawl Tour 23/4-2012. One of the larges pubs I ever have visited in UK. A traditionel JDW pub, great deko. There is one big room and several smaller ones. They have a great number of taps, the food is the traditionel JDW menu. Friendly staff.

Big hall with lots of smaller rooms. Slightly more expensive than regular JDW. 8 casks. Food was good.

wide selection of real ales great prices on pints and food. Food is merely pub food, nothing special. Pub is absolutely mobbed on a weekend.

The usual spoons menu, fast adn cheap. A decent range of ales, seasonals whan I was in. Mixed bunch of customers, not as dominated by smelly old men as some other pubs in the chain. The side rooms are pleasant and quiet. Family friendly.

Last time I paid a visit to this spacious Wetherspoon pub in the central part of Edinburgh, I got nine new ratings from 16 operating hand pumps serving cask ales. Must be one of the greatest JDWs in the UK. Pleasant atmosphere, and at this time of the year, enjoying Christmas decoration. Be aware of the recently open Wetherspoon in the same street (128 George St.), called The Alexander Graham Bell, which also offers a good selection of cask ales (visited 29th and 30th November 2010).

Visited during Edinburgh pubcrawl with Craig, Fin, Loz, Jan & Charlotte and Arjan. Enormous pub, very spacious hall with some more smaller hallways, crowded but cozy, at night lights are dimly lit, very atmosperic. Lots of taps here (> 30 I think), most if not all in good form. Very cheap in both food and beer (1,80 for a pint of guest ale, and during the real ale festival three 1/3rds for the price of a pint), service can be a bit slow when crowded.

Nice interior, very grand and giant ceilings. The Weatherspoons corporate family feedbag ambiance competes with the lovely historic bank building it occupies. But the beers were in good condition and had some nice ones on tap at famously low Weatherspoons prices...
