Very traditional bar close to Haymarket Station. Good selection of interesting cask ales. Quiet relaxed atmosphere. Worth a visit.

Visited 7/6/2011. I dived into Thomson’s to avoid a torrential downpour and was pleasantly surprised by the service and available ales. Barman and regulars were friendly and the Pentland IPA was served in good condition. Interior features a lot of wood. Good.
