| Farees (23), Edmonton, Alberta | | March 25, 2012 One of the largest selections in Edmonton, this is my personal favourite. Like others in the city they have determined to put all the beer in a walk in cooler. This can make things a bit cold and uncomfortable after a while, but just step into the store which is a very nice. With the selection being smaller they have organized it by brewer, which works better for me and I don’t walk away wondering what I have missed. If you buy enough big bottles, they will give you cloth bags which is a nice plus. | jrizko (4), Edmonton, Alberta does not count - explanation | | March 19, 2012 The store is gorgeous and definitely well taken care of (something I cannot say about another popular liquor store in Edmonton). The staff are super helpful and very knowledgeable, and will even take requests if you cannot find what your looking for. The beer cooler is not the largest Ive seen, but they make an effort to keep it stocked with good stuff. Prices are quite reasonable. One of my favorite beer stores in the city. | | Ferfie (11), Edmonton, Alberta | | December 23, 2011 Probably my favorite place to shop for beer in the city. Really great selection of Canadian and American Craft as well as amazing European brews. Realistically not the biggest in the city, but the prices are the best I’ve come by for sure. The staff that I’ve experienced in the beer cooler know just about every beer in there, and can easily point you in the right direction. Even when I’ve come here looking for wine and scotch, I’ve had great experiences. | | gramity (22), Edmonton, Alberta | | September 14, 2011 Great place to go for beer in Edmonton. Reasonably priced and one of the best selections in the city. You can typically find more than enough beer to satisfy any tastes. Lots of more rare beers for Edmonton. | | reebtogi (12), Edmonton, Alberta | | August 13, 2011 A great place to stop in while in Edmonton. A great selection of beers reasonably priced. It is a little out of the way from where I live, but still stop in every month or so. Friendly staff and nice sized beer cooler. | | pintbypint (22), Edmonton, Alberta | | August 12, 2011 Happy to say the beer selection here has been steadily improving over the last few years. All beer is kept in a spacious walk in cooler. Good selection of new beers, lots of singles, craft sixers. Some examples - Mikkeller, Dieu De Ceil, Handbryggreit, Rogue, North Coast, Pike, Lagunitas, Fish Tale etc etc. Prices are in line or slightly cheaper than some of the other local specialty beer shops. . Macros are also available and kegs can also be ordered ahead of time and picked up. Staff know their beer, and are friendly and helpful. Also a cool place if you’re looking some rarer wines and premium spirits. Definately worth stopping in here. | | Torontoblue (16), Edmonton, Alberta | | August 11, 2011 One of the better bottle shops on Southside Edmonton. Largish store set on a strip mall; plenty of parking. Main body of the store is an impressive array of wine, whisky, Cognac’s and Ports. Head to the back of the store and there is a large walk in cooler. Shelves line all 4 walls, with shelving in the middle too. Each wall is split into categories; Canada, US, UK, Europe, Rest of the World, Cider’s and specialty beers. Down the middle is the big biys stuff in boxes. Great selection of local and Canadian beers, and always one of the first to get new beer releases in the Province. Prices are very reasonable, and can be as much as $1 or $2 cheaper than other special beer stores in Edmonton. Staff are friendly & knowledgeable, and always willing to help or chat. Great place. |
