Your typical smaller CA Whole Foods location, sans taps but with a decent bottle selection. Just outside is Biergarten Encinitas, which turned into a nice 2-for-1.

I love walking around Whole Foods stores, just wish I could afford to buy something! This one has plenty of beers but no bar, unlike the larger places I have been in. Selection is both interesting and far reaching with singles of 33cl available (starting at $2:64 plus tax). Visited on 7th May 2016. If you have never been into one of this chains stores before,please pop in, otherwise it is a bit samey.

Average Whole Foods. Had a whole wall dedicated to beer but I didn’t see anything special. Fairly small store but then again real estate in Cali is high so they have to make the most of it. No taps.

Un Whole Foods de milieu de peloton reste quand même une excellente option. Mieux placé que la plupart de ces congénères avec multiples options de sorties à 5 min de marche.

Typical Whole Foods. One big aisle with lots of local, regional, national and some well chosen internationals.

Right on the 101 strip of charming Encinitas next door to Biergarten Encinitas and 10 blocks away from Encinitas Ale House. Smaller Whole Paycheck by comparison with an equally smaller beer selection. However, found Pizza Port cans here along with a large amount of H24 Pugachevs Cobra, which was a boon. Left a happy camper. Would check in here periodically for special release stuff. Selection was half and half local bombers and local sixers. Staff came by to see if I needed help and then didn’t harass or go on a spiel about something. Prices were normal.

Pretty standard Whole Foods beer range. Lots of solid offerings, all well kept, most of them in a refrigerated section. The range includes a fair few locals in addition to the common national micro brands. Prices are average. Nothing too rare to be had but a solid place to get a night’s drinking beers.
