Visited a quiet Easter Sunday. A rather big place with different functions: As a restaurant, cafe and as a bar. All rather old fashioned looking. Bar reminded me of the Swedish Bishops Arms bar chain, with ’bolt on’ British bar interior. Food was okay, gave a little bit of mass produced impression. Beer wise a mixture of the usual suspects from the Carlsberg emporium and locals from e.g Fanø Bryghus and Mylius Erichsen Bryghus. I had a Fanø which where in good condition. Cask was sold out. Price was a bit steep for Denmark outside of Copenhagen. Nice sevice, through. Centrally located in Esbjerg, this is a nice venue for craft beer in an area otherwise lacking good offerings.

Located in the middle of the Town Hall Square, this spacious and cozy venue offered me some refuge on a very rainy day. Then I had to wait for more than fifteen minutes to attract a waiter’s attention, although the place was half-empty. Fortunately, the rather slow service is offset by an impressive selection, although it has to be said that the twenty-odd taps feature few rarities. Decent food, served in reasonable portions. Not inexpensive but certainly worth a visit.

Probably around 20 taps, of which 7-8 are rotating microbrews with one cask ale on top of that

Visited several times. Big, spacy pub / restaurent at the town square. Cosy place and very friendly, serviceminded staff. Lots of seatings both inside as well as outside. There are both a pub and a restaurent in the same building, which make it possible to visit, weather you go for saturday brunch, a pint of beer or a nice meal. Really a place for people in all ages :-). Now and then they do their own beerfestival, looking forward for he next one..

Louise does it all: pub, restaurant, disco. You could spend an entire day here. Look out for events involving special brews from Fanø Bryghus.

Nice cozy pub / resturant in the center of town. Visited on a day with a Fanø bryg tap take over, so selection that day abit above normal. Good food, nice service allthough very crowded. Fairly priced and a nice place to visit.

The best place in Esbjerg, but says obviously not so much. If they have beers from Fanø’s Brewery, it is dfinitely worth trying. A cozy place that does something good for the beer in that part of the country

Fair no. of draftes including Fanø and other local. Tuesday is disco night for mentally and physicaly disabled until 22 so the noise level may be very high.

Located at the town square. I love the interior with the classical brown furniture. I stopped by on a monday afternoon, so the owner had plenty of time to talk about his place and hius plans for the selection in the future. The current selecion is a mix of industrial and mostly Danish craft beer, with Fanø as the most interesting. They have a single cask as well.

As a restaurant, this is a nice place. Great atmosphere, very cosy and with great food, although not in an way cheap. As a beer destination, well, it’s not worth seeking out but if you find yourself thirsty in Esbjerg this is a candidate for your attention. Had a few interesting beers on tap along with some more common ones. Not great service, didn’t get any attention from the bartenders when looking for beers and when seated we had to wait a while for menus, which IMO should be handed out directly when being directed to a table, especially since we had prebooked a table.
