YeomanJustin (3), , does not count - explanation | | May 23, 2012 Little bit hard to find, you dont expect it to be in this industrial looking building. I was lucky enough to visit the day they started selling their Summer Saison, but other than that you can get most of their stuff at the lcbo. What really sets this brewery apart is the outrageously good service, super nice staff. | | kevinsenn (31), Waterloo, Ontario | | March 26, 2012 Visited on a Saturday afternoon. President (Ken) was there to give us our private tour, and a tasting of the three beers available at the time. 2 regular brews, with rotating seasonals (which are the more interesting ones, of course). The selection of 3 beers is pretty small, especially considering their 10-years-plus in business, but it’s alright; quality over quantity - each beer had something good to offer. Deceptively small front area leads into a large brewing facility in the back. Ken was a great guy with a wealth of knowledge on the industry. We were a week or two early for the "10 Bitter Years", which was definitely a disappointment, but it was still well worth the visit. | toffsbury (5), Toronto, Ontario does not count - explanation | | March 25, 2012 They don’t brew a wide variety of beers at any given time and it’s not a big place, but the tour is great. Ken (the president) showed us around and explained everything in detail. Really friendly and happy to talk about every little detail I wanted to know. Tasted three beers - the standard Nut Brown and Pale Ale are decent standard items, but their special brews like the Double Chocolate Cherry Stout are quite nice. Prices are the same as LCBO (by legal requirement). Recommended. | | cfrancis (58), Ottawa, Ontario | | April 18, 2011 Located in an industrial park in Etobicoke, small sign on the door lets you know you are in the right place. Looks more like an office space in the front rather than a tasting area. Cool when it’s the owner that comes to help you out and they are very forthcoming with answering questions or letting you look at the brewhouse a little. Good place to pick up Black Oak brews but to do not much else. | | AdamHeenan (10), | | October 29, 2010 This is a pretty moderate place. I can’t believe there are so few reviews |
