For some reason Iíd never been here as I usually just go in Euston Tap. A more interesting cask range in here than the Tap and the beers I tried were in good nick. Wish Iíd had longer as they were plenty of ticks on offer and thereís plenty of room even though I assume itís always busy. Good to have the beer list on large TV screens too.

Old fashioned interior, but not well maintained nor cleaned. Lovely girls behind the counter who work efficiently and fast.
Impressive selection of gravity casks, unfortunately most were in sub-optimal condition. I presume turnover isnít big enough to warrant such a big selection. Still, not a bad place to be at, but I think Iíd prefer fewer beers if thatíd mean theyíre in better condition.

Not the prettiest, but sometimes function is better than form. Built for real ales, there is racking everywhere. Service was great, even asking for CAMRA without prompting, and giving me the discount even thought I didnít have my card, lots of beer and great prices, win, win.

Went at around 5pm on a Monday, so pretty quiet. Decoration isnít fantastic but itís interesting to see all the pump clips on the wall. You donít get gravity cask beers in many pubs these days - 10 here. I assume that there is a good turnaround too. I didnít try the food, but at £7 for main meals, itís reasonable for London. Likewise with the beer - £3.50 a pint for CAMRA members is cheap for London. Probably not worth a special journey for a beer tourist, though it is very close to Euston Tap.

As others have commented, you donít come here to view outstanding pub interior. And, carpets in a pub? Where else in the civilized world?? But you will meet friendly staff and a lively clientele in this neighborhood pub. Not the exclusive selection as at Euston Tap but a decent selection of British craft beer. Visited 2 times during my London week, this place feels and looks a bit run down, could need an work over, still there is some qualities here, lots of rotating cask beers, always something new, at least for a tourist like me, and the staff are very helpful and service minded. Worth a visit when you are in the area.

Old and rather run down pub close to Euston Station. Good selection of casks mostly from smaller locals, some macro lagers aswell, . Very busy and packed at our visit. Beers in good condition, samplers offered before ordering. Good service and good prices

Just round the corner from Euston Station and close to numerous underground lines, the Bree Louise has long been a haven for real ale drinkers.
Sadly this pub is under threat and is due to be demolished sometime around 2017 due to the expansion of Euston Station to become the terminus of the new High Speed Rail Link to Birmingham.
This will be a real shame as the Bree Louise is always busy providing what is basically a permanent Beer festival with a large number of cask ales both on draught and gravity.
In addition they offer both a good variety of quality ciders and tasty, inexpensive, if rather basic pub grub. The staff are usually helpful and often a real delight.
I do hope that the Bree Louise will be able to relocate, if not it will be a real loss to Londons discerning beer drinkers. So try it while you can

I have mixed feelings about this placed: On the one hand itís really run down, but on the other there was a friendly atmosphere when I visited. The staff wasnít too impressive as they didnít bother updating the board and they didnít put new casks on to replace the ones that had run dry. The selection was good though in particular as far as ciders go. The food was okay as well.
