Mahoosive Farm shop with a beer selection that would put some dedicated beer shops in the shade. Much concentration on the South West as you would expect but there is a smattering of other stuff. Elsewhere there are aisles and aisles of the type of things you would expect from a farm shop but with a much expanded selection. Beer prices are pretty reasonable here, the food prices not so much. We had some delicious fresh fish and chips here, it made for a nice break (and a great beer stock up) before driving on to St Ives.

Big modern purpose-built shopping venue including an outdoors store, home furnishings shop, a spa, bike hire, toys, a small farm animals section and - oddly - an RSPB shop & bird hide. In season thereís a maize maze and pick-your-own. At the heart of all of this is a huge farm shop with loads of local (and slightly over-priced) local produce. I mention all this because they are all welcome distractions for your significant others whilst you scuttle off to the beer and cider shop at the back of the farm shop. This seems to have pretty much every beer or cider produced in the south-west (includingmany rarities & one-offs), and the prices for these are pretty reasonable. Thereís a few larger bottles and a smattering of beers from other parts of the UK and Belgium & the US too, although most of these are fairly standard. Itís just off the M5 and has free parking, so itís much more accessible than Tuckerís Maltings in Newton Abbott - and frankly I felt the selection (and certianly the best before dates) were better then Tuckers. Being the south-west all the staff are pretty friendly. If youíre on your way down the M5, you should definitely take time out to visit. I certainly will next time Iím back down that way.

If you put a bike pump in your average farm shop and blew it up until it was many times its original size - like, MANY times - youíd have Darts Farm. And thatís good. They aslo have an excellent range of beer, mainly local, with a good selection from further afield in the UK. The international range is not spectacular, but itís not bad with a few good trappists and so forth. That said, if youíre in Devon and thinking beer you should be thinking Teign Cellars in Newton Abbot. But if youíre the other side of the Exe this is a fine place for beer.

A shopping complex with an excellent selection of beers from Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset plus a wide range of ciders, including their own.
Darts Farm is basically a farm outlet but a very large one with other shops incorporated into the complex. As well as lots of enticing food and drink (most of it rather special and some of it a bit pricey) they sell clothes, home and garden wares, toys, greetings cards and so on. Thereís also a restaurant and a gym.
Itís well worth a stop, or even a detour, if youíre in the area.

Visited 12/05/2012. A short walk across the valley from the Bridge Inn at Topsham. As mentioned below, this is a modern out of town complex, but selling high quality local produce. The beer and cider section offers a wider range, challenging Tuckers Maltings for Devon supremacy. The range of bottled beers appeared to pretty much cover everything on offer in Cornwall, Devon and Dorset, with the best of the rest form the west country such as Arbor and Moor. Green Valley cider are based here and tastings are on offer, along with a wide range of ciders, including some unusual Devon and Somerset offerings. Prices were pretty keen. A must visit place.

Strange to judge a beer store inside a store. A weaving shopping complex with a tucked away beer and cider store, and even mored hidden ciderworks just beyond the shelving units. Met the head cider maker and sampled a few of his wares, but didnít take notes which was a shame as they were tasty drops. 200+ beers and ciders, most impressive are the line-up of locally produced micros. Beer glasses available, also from the micros on show, and the staff are extra keen to meet other entusiasts as I ended up spending a good hour here chatting away. Aside this, its a gourmets delight for food. Myself a chef I just got lost in the amount of quality produce available. Darts Farm, though a very modern place, is definitely worth a visit or two!

Large farm shop with a lot of local products. Large selection of bottled ciders/perries and regional beers. Not far from the motorway. Definitely worth a stop if youíre in the area.
