Large place, not well organized. Beer selection is smallish. There is one shelf of singles that you can mix-n-match into a 6-pack for $10, but you can’t buy singles, or two single beers, only sixers, and only from that special shelf. Odd.

I wasn’t all that impressed with this Wegmans. I stopped in for some stuff while visiting some family in the area. The one back where I live is a lot nicer and has a better selection. I was told that this store is a lot older than others in the area. They had the usual suspects and some local stuff, but not as much as I would have liked or expected. I ended up with a Starr Hill sampler box. On a side note about the actual beer, it was terrible. But obviously that’s not Wegmans fault.

I’ve been here a couple of times and just stopped in again the other day. Typical of Wegman’s locations. Big and massive. The beer selection is smaller here than at other locations, but still solid. The key is they’re so big they can’t help but have some good stuff just to fill shelf space. The singles selection is of decent size and fairly well maintained with some decent selections. Beyond that its a typical Wegman’s. Giving low customer service marks to this location because I gave up trying to buy my 6 pack after the cashier couldn’t figure out how to ring up yogurt for the customer in front of me and one other lady. After about 6 or 7 minutes, THEN she started to get a supervisor. IT’S FREAKING YOGURT! COME ON! </rant> It’s a decent stop nonetheless, but with Whole Foods a few miles away, if you have to pick one stop, go with WFM.

Wegmans is a higher end grocery store, like Whole Foods, so I was hoping that they would have comparable selection with beer. I was wrong. In reality, their selection falls somewhere between Giant and Whole Foods, with more similarities to the former than the latter. Overall this is a pretty cool store, but if you want good beer you may as well get back on Monument Drive up to Fair Lakes Pkwy, take a left and then take another left on Market Commons Drive. It’s a short drive, and you will find yourself at Whole Foods, where you can find much better selection.

This place is adequate for your beer needs. Wile not as expansive as many specialty beer places - or even the Whole Foods down the street - this place has a pretty decent amount of brews to chose from from all around the world. I’ve seen one or two beers here that I don’t believe I’ve seen anyplace else. Since the last time I went, selection has increased many times its original size. I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit just for the beer, but it would certainly be a good stop if you were doing other shopping as well (which is well worth it).
