This is a nice gem in NoVA that is well worth the stop. The beer selection is not large, but I have yet to see such concentration of German beer in one location. And, the food is very good, and very reasonably priced. Unfortunately, you cannot drink with your food. The staff is very helpful and friendly. There is a nice collection of steins and other glassware too.

I finally made it to this small, cozy store after years of planning to visit. There’s a lot packed in there. Plenty of German foods, both fresh, packaged, and made to order. The beer selection was pretty standard fare, though there were some beers I’ve never seen in the area there - though as another poster mentioned, some bottles were old (I picked up an Anniversary bottle apparently from 2004) - though the other beer which is pretty common and well known that I picked up seemed pretty fresh (product probably moves through store fast). If I’d make one suggestion would be to keep better track of the inventory, and discount the older stuff to get it off the shelves.

Excellent source for German imports. Good beer, good würste, good bread, and good people. Most of the employees are also quite knowledgable about the products they sell.

Eh. Come here for the food... and maybe the wine... but not for the beer. They have the same stuff you would normally find at any other beer store... Weihenstephan, Erdinger, Tucher and the like, with some ghastly outdated stuff. I found a 2005 hefeweizen and a pilsner from 2002. Located RIGHT on a busy road with minimal parking, making getting out a bit tricky. Customer service was OK, but not great. Definitely not a good beer stop.

Outstanding German speciality store, with a butcher shop and bakery, that features some fantastic German foods. All sorts of German candies, toys, novelities, you name it. Small, but very good selection of German beers to go with the great German food. I like getting some fresh German bratwurst, and some fantastic landjager here, and of course get some good German beers to have with it. Nice place for one shop shopping for any thing and every thing German.

A wonderful store, packed full of German candies, foodstuff, beer, wine, meats, cheeses. The staff speak German, which was very unexpected and very welcome! They are very knowledgeable about everything in their store, otherwise they wouldn’t sell it. I was able to pick up several beers I had not been able to find around here. We loved it, and will continue going there on a regular basis!

A small family run shop that sells everything German, including beer. They seem to sell pretty much every German beer that is regularly available in Northern Virginia. THey also sell a huge assortment of homemade German food stuffs, sausages, breads, deli meats, desserts. Stop in for the food and pick up some German beer while there. A neat place and worth a stop if in the neighborhood.
