| dkachur (114), Charlottesville, Virginia | | May 5, 2009 [ Updated December 6, 2009 ] Eh. Come here for the food... and maybe the wine... but not for the beer. They have the same stuff you would normally find at any other beer store... Weihenstephan, Erdinger, Tucher and the like, with some ghastly outdated stuff. I found a 2005 hefeweizen and a pilsner from 2002. Located RIGHT on a busy road with minimal parking, making getting out a bit tricky. Customer service was OK, but not great. Definitely not a good beer stop. | | TheBeerLover (31), DC Metro Area, | | April 24, 2006 Outstanding German speciality store, with a butcher shop and bakery, that features some fantastic German foods. All sorts of German candies, toys, novelities, you name it. Small, but very good selection of German beers to go with the great German food. I like getting some fresh German bratwurst, and some fantastic landjager here, and of course get some good German beers to have with it. Nice place for one shop shopping for any thing and every thing German. | | jde123 (58), Washington, Washington DC | | March 5, 2005 A wonderful store, packed full of German candies, foodstuff, beer, wine, meats, cheeses. The staff speak German, which was very unexpected and very welcome! They are very knowledgeable about everything in their store, otherwise they wouldn’t sell it. I was able to pick up several beers I had not been able to find around here. We loved it, and will continue going there on a regular basis! | | jeffc666 (87), Fairfax, Virginia | | February 20, 2005 A small family run shop that sells everything German, including beer. They seem to sell pretty much every German beer that is regularly available in Northern Virginia. THey also sell a huge assortment of homemade German food stuffs, sausages, breads, deli meats, desserts. Stop in for the food and pick up some German beer while there. A neat place and worth a stop if in the neighborhood. |
