| AguynamedTodd (75), Illinois | | April 28, 2012 [ Updated May 11, 2012 ] Visited the place a few days ago. The shop is located in a busy shopping complex. When you walk in there are wall coolers along the left side. There are shelves of beers on the back and right side along with some case displays. I was looking for some beers but no one seemed interested in helping, including the owner. A greeting of some sort would have been nice. She has a nice selection and prices seem reasonable. This would be a good place to go if you were in this area. Otherwise there are better stores closer to Seattle. | | Dixonian (79), Dallas, Texas | | March 13, 2012 Visited on a recent business trip. Thank goodness for this place as it was the only place in the area with an above average beer selection. Tiffany was very nice and knowledgable. A dozen or so coolers and some dry shelves lining the walls. Very much worth visiting if you are in the area. | BARLEYWINEO (5), Tacoma, does not count - explanation | | February 1, 2012 [ Updated February 8, 2012 ] I have been to 99 Bottles probably 100 hundred times in the past two years and nearly 100 bottle shops across the world including Port, Bottleworks, Red Carpet Wine and more. 99 Bottles is top notch and is a great stop for everyone in the South Sound and beyond. I am just a beer geek who loves and appreciates what 99 Bottles has to offer. I have never had bad service and the punch card thing is a great idea...rewarding loyal customers...what a concept? They do have vintages, as a matter of fact I picked up 2 x Big Sky 09 Bluehairs, 3 x 2009 Temptations and much more! Granted Bottleworks, Chucks :) are all great stops, 99 Bottles is the best bottle shop between Seattle and Portland hands down. Cheers! | | Smurf2055 (22), Seattle, Washington | | December 24, 2011 [ Updated February 11, 2012 ] Warmed up to the place since my initial review. Was irked by the service I received from one of the employees and left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth (looking at some of the other reviews, this appears to have happened to others as well). They keep a very good stock, but be prepared to wait in line before the store opens for rare releases. Tiffany does do a good job keeping the website updated, posting pictures, answering questions, and putting out info in the craft beer world. They do an annual cellar sale which has some vintage rarities as well. Overall, not my thing. I can’t justify the trip down personally, but I can understand the hype, and have stopped in when I am in the area. | Prime (2), Kent, Washington does not count - explanation | | December 9, 2011 Excellent selection and a very inviting store, which can’t be said for some other Seattle area stores. Employees were helpful when asked and will leave you alone if you don’t want to be bothered. | | reebtogi (12), Edmonton, Alberta | | November 2, 2011 A relatively small store which really packs in a lot of beer choices. The staff was friendly and service was excellent. I made a rather large purchase and was processed quickly. | | Matts_Property (27), Vancouver, British Columbia | | July 19, 2011 Tiffany is really friendly and helpful. Good selection of beer. Awesome :D | | MarinaMarket (12), POULSBO, Washington | | November 19, 2010 [ Updated February 8, 2012 ] First time in this week, and a great shop for sure. Excellent service, VERY clean, and no gouging. I saw a beer in the inbound stack, and although it hadn’t been checked it in yet, they went ahead and did so, offering the beer to me a few minutes later. Standard pricing, and a nice newsletter too. Strange to see comments about rudeness. I didn’t get anything but excellent interactions while there. Very nice people IMO. | russellmann (3), Idaho does not count - explanation | | October 22, 2010 I like me some 99 bottles! I visit every time I’m going near Seattle. First stumbled upon them close to their opening, they already had 850 SKU’s in stock and have added more since. The service is excellent with staff that drinks and knows what tastes good. The organizational skills are top notch with country flags and info on pretty much every beer. They even have a good glassware selection. | | skortila (125), Baarn, Netherlands | | October 21, 2010 Been there on my holday in 2010. Nice store, friendly staff and plenty of micro’s. Enough space to move around. Great store to visit. We bought here lots of the beers to take with us to our survival in Utah (in beer terms that is ...) |
