kmwinter (3), Fishers, Indiana does not count - explanation | | January 31, 2009 Simply put, OTAH has the best beer selection at any restaurant on the northeast side of Indianapolis. They get kegs of some of the best beer available in Indiana (most recently Hopslam, Double Trouble, and Goose Island IIPA). And that’s just on draft.
They have a large chalkboard with all the bottle selections which are always outstanding. You’ll always be able to find something new or an old favorite. Bombers are available as well as 12oz. The beer selection changes frequently depending on what new is out that week.
Beer flights are hand selected by the owner and always complement each other well.
The food is decent, highlighted by the mac&cheese in a sourdough bread bowl. I also reccommend the fish and chips. Daily lunch specials are available and are a great value. | | BigBang (13), Indiana | | December 20, 2008 Great tap list, the food, although not a lot of options, was excellent on both occasions I have visited, but the ambiance is horrible. The tables and chairs are cheap and reminded me of what you find at the Lions Club fish fry. Not very comfortable. Decor is pretty blah. The beer selection is fantastic, although they keep the list on a chalkboard that can not be read from a lot of seats. Many great stout and IPA options but it seemed like everything they served came in a pint glass. I go to a restaurant for the food and beer, so I will return, regardless of ambiance, but not sure the wife will. | | tjthresh (76), Greenfield, Indiana | | October 18, 2008 [ Updated May 29, 2009 ] I seemed like my family were the first customers on a Saturday afternoon. The bartender was the only person working. Small food menu. The 1/2 pound burger I had was good. Every body else had the $5 speceial. BBQ pulled chicken. They enjoyed that. Draft beer was good. They had some Founders Harvest on, but it was 7 bucks for 16 ounces. I passed. Decent specials throughout the week. I’ll be back again soon. ***updated on 1/16/09*** Matt is really bringing in some gems these days. Dreadnaught on now and Hopslam is on the way. They’ve have Breakfast Stout as well. Tues and Wed are the nights to go as all draft pints are $3.50. |
