14 reviews for The Ginger Man (Fort Worth)
| angrypirate06 (15), Texas | | September 28, 2009 Decent selection, typical Texas beers, some Stone and DFH as well. Some nice couches and places to sit and relax. A nice patio as well. | | mar (34), Dallas, Texas | | September 27, 2009 Nice looking place, the patio being the highlight though. Selection was good with some ’rarities’ to be found. Bar people seemed to know what they we’re doing and knew what was not on tap. | | beer4mencc1701 (15), Irving, Texas | | August 5, 2009 When the relentless N. Texas sun permits, this is a good place to drink outdoors. Sure, it’s right by a somewhat busy street, but it’s partitioned off nicely and filled with long picnic tables, with water readily available. It’s hard not to compare this place with the Dallas location, and I think it comes out on top based on available seating choices/layout, atmosphere, and how nice the bar is. Did not eat at this location, would assume the menu is equally limited. But this is a place for drinking & we found on a recent visit that the selection here was superior even to the Dallas location (but then we found out that while Maharaja was still on the board, they were in fact out : ( Highly recommended for an evening full of adventurous drinking, but you’d be wise to look their beer menu up online & come with your own game plan. | | ericandersnavy (27), crossroads, Texas | | June 2, 2009 enjoyed the outside patio because inside was colder than a witches tittie in a brass bra. not bad selection and staff was pretty helpful. most likely will not go back however. | | blutt59 (51), Dallas, Texas | | April 14, 2009 Similar offerings to Dallas Gingerman except with some differences in Texas beers they carry on tap, much newer looking than the Dallas version, food is usual pub food, good service when I went | | BMan1113VR (108), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas | | March 1, 2009 Smokey bar in Fort Worth. Good parking lot, a lot of good, and local taps. Some really interesting stuff. Staff was a little harsh at first, but not horrible. Very interesting fort-worth style interior. Prices were on par with other places. Didn’t try the food. | | ilovedarkbeer (38), Dallas, Texas | | March 1, 2009 Went here on a Sunday afternoon. Not very many people inside and it was kind of cold with all the doors open. Lots of places to sit, and I choose the big comfy couch. Maybe something like 30-50 taps and a decent bottle selection. Bunch of stuff I haven’t had and hard to find taps. The staff is generally concerned with their own stuff rather than you. Not bad decent interior. | | Cavie (49), Fort Worth, Texas | | February 8, 2009 This is a nice cozy spot to relax and try some new brews. They specialize in craft beers, and have a very large selection of this as well. You will not find your standard macros here, save for Coors LIght. The staff knows the styles they have and can easily recommend a craft replacement for any macro you enjoy. The food menu is limited to sandwiches and appetizers. I had the roast beef and it was superb. They have bar seating, table seating and couches for lounging. 2 dart boards and a jukebox. If the jukebox isn’t playing then there is no music on, which is one of the few things that I do not like. Also, they update the beer selection menus at the beginning of the month, and so the availability isn’t always what’s listed. All in all, it’s a great hangout. | | fly (190), austin, Tejas, | | October 6, 2008 So very glad to find this so close to museums district. For Texas, a great selection. Compared to Austin Gman, it’s the step cousin.
Server seemed rather bored, but did poor me a number of samples. Then he disappeared when I wanted to order a second pint. | TexanIndian (2), Fort Worth, Texas does not count - explanation | | May 9, 2008 Good selection, service can be improved. |
