82 Spent a good night there and selection is very nice. Prices are a bit steep. |
68 I’ve been to this Gingerman 3 or 4 times and never got the feeling of a true "Gingerman" vibe. Not too busy any of the times I visited. Beer selection was decent and bar service was good. Food was typical GMan fare. |
54 used to be a regular the old staff is gone so is the feel,.will go to southlake location now when bartender tried to quiz me on wall I handwd her my beer back, |
76 Stopped by in the middle of a Friday afternoon to have one or two. Not very busy at that time. Decent selection, but nothing unusual. Good selection of Texas beers. Bartender was friendly and knew their selections. If I come back to the area, I will stop by. |
68 I love the comfortable feeling I get when I walk into a Gingerman. It is like you are drinking in someone’s home - or your buddy’s decked out basement. But not in Fort Worth.
We step into the front door and are immediately hit with a harsh smokey smell (Toto, we’re not in Dallas or Travis County anymore). Hmmm. Maybe I should order a Rauchbock, so the smell will blend with the beer . . .
The place is warm in one half of it (where the smokers are) and freezing in the other half (away from the bar). Since we choose to enjoy our beer, we literally run back out in the rain to our car and grab both sweatshirts and jackets, so we can attempt to enjoy our beer without freezing to death.
The beers. Wife had a 512 IPA, I had a Green Flash. Both good and fresh. But we just couldn’t get over the atmosphere. It was like we were drinking in a funeral parlor versus a bar. And the way it is set up, there just doesn’t seem to be any "hominess" that you come to expect when you enter a Gingerman.
So while it is far more convenient to park and get here (versus Flying Saucer FW) we won’t be back any time soon. |
82 Cool little space with lots of taps and a good dose of locals, which is what I was looking for. We didn’t eat so I didn’t rate that component. Biggest disappointment was the smoking. Our server took a little while to get to us, but she was top notch once she took our order. She was fantastic and extremely polite. |
56 I do not miss the non smoking ban in Texas, nice atmosphere inside with plenty of comfortable couches and chairs, a bit dark, huge outside patio to sit... service was ok, a bit slow and not really knowledgeable... draft list subpar, everything they had except for the TX beers you can get anywhere, and the TX beers were commonly available staples, bottle list was weak... I guess this is good for TX but subpar in most places |
28 Nice bar but way over priced and with music far too loud. |
88 The ratings all accurate just some updates has wi-fi now kids ok pets ok on patio has 69 taps with 1 beer engine usually saint Arnolds Elissa IPA all in all if in Fort Worth stop in |
86 This is a great place to go to hang out and have great beer. Tuesday nights are always a favorite. |
