Like several others have mentioned, the tap list won’t knock you on your ass. It is solid nonetheless, with several Bells, Three Floyds, and Two Brothers. The bartender said they no longer do bottles, since the economy is tanking. My friend and I sat at the bar, and both our barstools were wobbly and in danger of collapsing, and I’m not even a fatass. Enjoying a beer is difficult if you are worried about falling on your ass. Didn’t try the food, so no comments. The servers were all atractive and dressed like Irish hookers...That made up for the wobbly chairs. There was some band playing music that wasn’t very good, but it was nice for background effect. If you enjoy Guinness, psuedo-Rish tunes, and a harem of douchebag patrons, this is your place. For myself, I’ll go somewhere else.

beer list wasnt as wild as i had heard it might be, but still better then 99% of other places im aware of. easy to get to and find off of route 30. cute waitresses, plenty of taps and a cask (which was empty unfortunately) and a small but nice bottle list. didnt eat but i plan to return soon. nice place.

Re-Rate: So I stopped in today as it is St. Patrick’s Day weekend thinking it might be a good time. . So I go there with the family and they only have 10 beers on tap due to having multiple taps of Guiness due to St. Paddys. Whatever. But only 4 of the taps are micros when they usually have like 20. Nothing I have not had on tap so I order a Southern Tier Porter which is one of the 3 craft brews they have in bottles. The waitress comes back and tells me thier out. This is what pissed me off. If you make a special menu for St. Patricks day weekend and only put a select few brews on the menu and this is the second day of the menu don’t you think you would have enough of said brew to last you the entire weekend. Poor website and poor management. Plus the bill was $60 for one beer, 2 sandwiches and a kids meal. Will not be back. Plus place was dead on Friday at happy hour during St. Patricks day weekend when they are supposed to be having a party per their website.

if you can ignore the piped in irsh music long enough, you’ll find a nice selection of beers, and a nice place to drink them in. they even have a very enjoyable beer garden outside, even though you are surrounded by shopping strips and parking lots. the wait staff have always been exrtremely friendly and beer-knowledgable.

With barely a year in business, this has become one of the best beer-geek restaurants in the south suburbs. Yep, decor is a little TOO Irish, and makes you realize how very few actual Irish beers come into the US: just the Canadian-brewed Guinness and O’Hara’s. Check the other tap brews the previous raters have listed, and I had a Lagunitas Brown Suggah on my last visit. The bottle menu is in place and just as impressive as the tap list. So far, I’ve only had appetizers and a grilled tuna sandwich, but they were all right. And who can igmore the appeal of waitresses in plaid schoolgirl skirts?

Nice cozy layout, at least by the bar where I had some beers with RAYBOY01 and jackson220. A particularly nice touch for this old fart was the shortly kilted waiting staff... although I could have done without seeing their male counterparts in similar garb. All I ate were some oysters (Blue Star) that were cleanly shucked, juicy and tasty. The other fellows food looked and smelled good. But of couse we me it is all about the beer, and they had a dandy & diverse selection on tap and in bottles. Anytime I can get a DFH 90-Minute IIPA on tap, I’m happy. Follow that up with some Skullsplitter and a few other good brews and I’m very happy. Definitely worth a return. I may actually waste some good stomach space on some of their food next time.

This place is so Irish it’s almost TOO Irish and nearly made my head spin. Decor finds a pallete of sage and gold complemented by natural stone and oak treetrunks carved into chairs & faux support beams. Waitresses wearing pleated teal tartan skirts above white knee socks and Mary Janes present tooled leather menus & both contribute to an extra point for ambiance.

Food menu is fairly diverse with a focus on Irish and pub fare. Appetizers were hit-or-miss. An entree of Hangar Steak Frites was tough yet edible and thick-cut Corned Beef came slathered in a mustard sauce that should have been presented to the side. Waitstaff was attentive, although bus service was slow to non-existent.

In addition to the draught beers mentioned below, you’ll find Lindemann’s Framboise and the Duchess de Bourgogne, plus Bell’s Two Hearted... which is always great to find on tap.

On a Saturday night, they decided to cram a band into a far corner of the dining room. Personally, when I’m going out to eat (or simply out to enjoy a few pints), I don’t want to be accosted by two-bit entertainment in an acoustically-challenged venue. I don’t know why restauranteers fail to understand this. Ambiance point removed. Maybe showing up on a Mon. or Tues. (as suggested below by Galway management) might not be a bad idea. Plus you may not have to fight as big a crowd.

In reference to the previous review, the botlles selection is very good and is now in place! But the draught beer list is actually a beer geeks dream. They have since added DFH 90min witha cask product in mind for the very near future! And for those price conscious, Mon & Tues they feature $3 Pints of all your favorite selections!

This place is near Lincoln-Way East and BW3, across the street from United Liquors. Mainly Irish food on the menu, which I thought was excellent both times I ate there, and close to what is offered in Ireland. The wait staff is not very knowledgeable in beer, but the tap selection is very good. Alpha King, Robert the Bruce, DFH 60min, Delerium Tremens, Founder’s DB, 2 Rogue beers, 2 Great Lakes, a Bell’s beer, and typical imports. The web-site has the current taplist. A better bottle selection is coming in the future, at least that’s what the beer menu claims.
