| jbrana (27), NASHVILLE, Tennessee | | April 30, 2012 Pretty good spot that I particularly like because it is one of the few places in town that you can get singles of high gravity beers. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the selection is pretty good. | perramount (1), Calhoun, Georgia does not count - explanation | | December 25, 2010 Quite good selection for TN. Staff is friendly and helpful.
And they sell beer - so that’s good. | | swenocha (12), Franklin, Tennessee | | April 9, 2010 Great high-alc beer selection. One of the bests in the Nashville area. | | MmmcKay (13), Brentwood, Tennessee | | July 30, 2009 Decent enough place. The beer selection of plus 6% bottles is pretty good for the Nashville/Franklin area. Some different stuff, but still similar to what everybody else has in the area.
Staff didn’t pay much attention to me. I was greeted then left alone. Which is fine. When I had questions I went to the register. They didn’t seem to be great spirits. However, they were knowledgeable enough to help me make an informed decision.
I would go back, but it isn’t my top destination for high gravity brews. | | curly (114), Seattle (Newcastle), Washington | | March 6, 2009 [ Updated November 23, 2011 ] This is a great place with an awesome selection. They have a good deal of cold beers as well as about a twelve foot long seven foot tall section of warm beer. They always have specials on seasonals and random new beers. Staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely a great place to go to get quality beer. ..... I was just in here again the other day and found some stuff that Midtown, Frugals and J Barleycorn did not have. This has long been my go-to store in TN for high alc beers and the selection never disappoints. I was also told that they do weekly beer tastings on Thursday nights. | | RichJ7 (14), Cullman, Alabama | | January 12, 2009 Wonderful selection of high gravity stuff, much of it hard to find (for me, anyway). Classy place, mostly catering to wine, with all the trappings that entails. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, spending quite a bit of time with us. The prices were very good as well. This shop is a must-visit if you’re in the area. | | Butters (164), Richmond, Virginia | | September 14, 2008 Wow. I can’t believe this place was not listed already. Great selection of +6% beers. The website lists about half of their stock. Very friendly staff, but not terribly knowledgable about beer. Primarily a wine store with a big selection of beers and single malt whiskies. Prices ranged greatly but nothing seemed to be outrageous. Pleasant find, and worth a trip. |
