| Rustyham (84), Nashville, Tennessee | | October 6, 2011 Since it moved, this place has really stepped up it’s Game. They have 5 taps for growler fills, typically good stuff, often not available in bottles. their prices are on par with the other Whole foods, which means more or less competitive. the selection now trumps Woody’s and is probably the best in the area for low ABV. | | curly (114), Seattle (Newcastle), Washington | | July 8, 2010 Go to Woody’s or Stogie’s before this place. Selelction is less than what you would find at either of the previous places. | | msante79 (253), Mount Prospect, Illinois | | May 11, 2010 Kind of a smaller Whole Foods. Decent beer selection for area. What made this place nice was the singles selection. Worth a stop. | | Stellaaaa (11), Tennessee | | February 8, 2010 Whole Foods has a better selection than lots of grocery stores, but one problem is that they tend to have more mediocre foreign macros than good craft beers. They also tend to water down their make-your-own six pack selection with lots of macro lagers like Budweiser, so you don’t really have as many choices as it seems. Still, it’s not an entirely bad store, and definitely worth a visit. | | Butters (164), Richmond, Virginia | | September 13, 2008 Typical organic market. Nice, clean, and upscale-ish. The food was extremely fresh with an emphasis on local produce. The staff wsa very friendly but as to be expected, had not a clue about beer. The beer selection was slightly better than a regular grocery store. Decent selection of local and regional brews, as well as some more desirable imports. However, in a completely different section away from the cases of beers, they had a good ’mix-your-own-6’ program. The selection was dismal, maybe 50 singles, but they did have some suprises, like Avery, Flying Dog, and Rogue. And while the selection wasn’t stellar, the price was: only $8.99 a six-pack. Maybe I’m just not used to prices down here, but back in VA I never found a mix-your-own for less than $11 or $12. So overall, good value on a small regional selection. |
