Always enjoy my visits here when traveling through the area. Servers are always helpful and courteous with advice and samples. Even directed a friend and I to a package store in search of beers not available at home in PA. I like the vibe here, it’s comfortable but not shabby. Pretty much a must stop when I’m heading down (or up) the road.

We have been here numerous times with friends from Maryland and Northern Virginia. This is great stop half way between. The food is above average and the burgers arer great. The help are great at finding beers to please you. I have had in the past difficulty selecting beers that were all sold out. The bar is a curving one that fills the front room. The back rooms have plenty of seating and couches to just sit. The parking in Frederekickburg is generally not a problem.

Went here once a couple years back, and I remember loving it. Decent food, but good beer selection, plus the option of ordering bottles to go. Knowledgeable, friendly staff.

Located down the street from the Virginia Wine House this is, I’m guessing, the best place to go for a beer. The place is divided in thirds. The first third has a massive bar and a standing area as well as some tables. The second third is all tables, and the final third has couches and pool tables and dart boards. They have 40-50 taps, though nothing too outrageous or unusual, and about 300 bottles. The bar also has an ice rail built into to keep your drinks cold. We went on a Saturday night and the place can get kind of loud with a younger than typical crowd for craft beer. But they try and do right for the beer. One customer ordered an Allagash tripel and asked for a chilled glass. The bartender refused to get it explaining why it was stupid to spend that much for a beer and then put it in a container where you can’t taste it. For the area the place is something of a godsend and they have really good comfort food with some nice flourishes. My only real complaint is that a place this big should have more than 2 restrooms and they should be closer to the bar.

Beer selection is excellent though the beer menus aren’t always that up to date. Typically takes me 3 tries to get something that is listed and also still on tap. Staff is fairly knowledgeable, though for a lot of the staff it’s definitely just a restaurant job. Good special all through the week, beer dinners and tastings, and growlers and build your own 6-pack available.

Great beer selection. Pretty good food. Reduced priced growlers on Thursday.

Good beer selection and most servers are knowledgeable. Food is okay. Front room/bar area is best - more "family friendly" in the next room.

An ok place to go in general, though around dinner time on a Saturday night it is more of a restaurant with a huge beer selection than a pub, and that comes with attendant annoying children and "family friendly" nonsense.

Unassuming from the outside, but once in, a very impressive beer bar with 60 taps, 100+ bottles, decent food and excellent service. Not bad for Fredericksburg at all. Will certainly drop in again when in town.
